  1. If his priority is money, he would have waited a few years down the road to get paid millions more. His real motivation is to test his skills and play against the best players in the world. The Dodgers check all the boxes: money, storied franchise, playoffs every year, player development, chance to play with Shohei and Yamamoto, great weather, best restaurants, big market sponsorship, close to Japan, etc. Sorry Mets and Yankees. He's coming to L.A.

  2. Los Angeles Dodgers will always be attractive to Japanese players like Sasaki like Puerto Rico/Latino players will always be attraced to East Coast teams like Yankees.

  3. I know Stearns with Cohen are really going to go for it. If they're going for what I think they're going for, I hope they get it. I hope they get exaxtly what they want for the Mets.

  4. Not only Roki Sasaki, but Japanese players will not go to New York. His interference with Mookie Betts in the World Series.
There joy when Shohei Ohtani was injured, the New York media praising him, Masahiro Tanaka returned to Japan from New York, where Asians are discriminated against.
Derek Jeter excluded Ichiro. Japanese players will never go to such a discriminatory place.

  5. If not the Dodgers, he is going to Padres (Dharvish is a mentor) or Mariners (history of Japanese players). Remember he is really just a young kid and he is going to want to be as close to home (Japan) as possible which means west coast and be with friends he knows (Yamamoto or Dharvish). And of course for Japanese players it would be an honor to play with Ohtani. Mets have a better chance of signing Japanese veterans who are comfortable being alone and not on west coast like Senga or Imanaga who they mistakenly overlooked last year.

  6. If you see Beuler sign elsewhere and no Burnes coming to the Dodgers then you know Sasaki is a lock already and the Dodgers are not worried. Hell they can sign Burnes and get Sasaki and still be fine.

    Ohtani
    Yamamoto
    Glasnow
    Burnes
    Sasaki

    Bro WHAT IN THE WORLD😳

    -GOOD LUCK MLB

-Defered contracts should be banned in MLB, it gives a great team that's spending top 3 MLB a HUGE competitive advantage…..fir real MLB needs to step in now before it gets worse, because Defered contracts made Yamamoto possible, and now Sasaki… You can call me a bitter Yankee fan, but my point is still valid.
