damn the rumors of him being out for the season seem true
Can someone explain best and worst case to me?
WTF IS GOING ON?!
Wait my husband made a good point, if he’s on IR, that frees up cap space, what if they put him on IR to grab a goalie to get us through PK’s injury? Idk I’m just trying to stay positive about this..
It’s better that it’s early in the season than in April.
What is the actual injury? “Upper body” covers like 70% of the stuff on a body that can get jacked up.
It’s Jarvover 😔
WHAT THE FUCK
Regular IR is only 7 days. We’ll be fine.
This is my biggest gripe as someone who has played super competitive beer league hockey (/s). I got tripped by a goalie fell awkwardly and hit the boards. I completely fucked my shoulder and tore my labrum (40% of it, top and bottom which was fucked up) and also tore my bicep tendon clear off my shoulder (my arm was way the hell out as someone had to forcefully push it in). If yall remember the Pochetkov on Tkachuk last year that was me three weeks later but I’m not an nhl skater and a big guy overall. Seth mentioned that throughout the season his shoulder kept getting separated (essentially what labrum prevents). I wish we would’ve advised him to surgically repair it if it was separating as frequently as they said instead of the path we took of time because it is clearly an issue. The labrum doesn’t magically repair itself. I would’ve sacrificed the first three plus months of no Jarvy time so we don’t deal with this later in the season.
Having done the surgery and dealt with airplane turbulence separating my shoulder post-injury/pre surgery I can’t imagine continually dealing with i and playing hockey his style and I love his style. He clearly drives lines given his analytics, but I fear a reinjury in the playoffs and losing him is a bigger dagger.
YALL THERE’S AN UPDATE, HE’LL BE FINE, MAKING SPACE FOR PERETS! we can all collectively take a deep breath
For the better tbh, rather have it happen this year than next year when our window opens for a cup
Is binner a hurricane?
If it’s his labrum maybe he should have gotten surgery…it’s concerning that Rod dodged the question about whether it was a reaggravation
this is not a party bruh
So how does IR work in hockey? Is it like the NFL where they can return after a set time?
All while collecting that cold hard cash.
At least now we can pick up some players from the Golden Knights to put on injured reserve whenever Jarvis is back
Well this isn’t a fun announcement.
It would be hard to believe if this is Not related to last year’s shoulder injury. I don’t blame someone for not wanting surgery if time and PT can really fix it. If not, the Canes and Jarvis were kidding themselves and his season is about 10 games and see ya next year and they both need to evaluate what the hell they based that decision on…sound medical advice or hoping for the best.

My sweet prince
This is fine, who needs happiness anyway?
It’s a roster move to have perets.
