“Great ethical tank loss!”

  1. Nah, I’m all in give me these kinda games for the rest of the season. Bench developing while two of our main guys remain out. ALL IN

  2. whos crying? im happy to keep losing like this all season. top 5 pick here we come

  3. Yeah the folks here ain’t serious. You’re gonna throw away an entire season on the off chance of getting a player with only equal parts hype and talent? Where would you fit him on this team? Bench Gradey? Derail everyone else’s development arc to focus on a rookie who will need another 4+ years to develop? We tanked to get here, yeah it sucks right now but that’s what makes winning feel good when it finally starts. FOH with tanking, we rarely get anything worthwhile from it, and the players here lose morale in the meantime

  4. Genuinely not even mad

We win? Great, glad to see the streak broken.

We lose? Great, one more loss to add to our lottery odds.

As long as our guys play hard like they did tonight, i’m not going to be upset. Tough losses are losses all the same but it speaks to the character of our team that they aren’t rolling over despite the adversity.

  5. Man I’m with you, people are acting like the worst record gets you the number 1 pick. Just give me wins I can care less where we end up picking.

  6. I would have liked to have seen a competitive season because I think this team is not bad and I think there is value to winning. But this team doesn’t have a margin of error, and I don’t think a season can survive having Barnes out for a decent amount of time. At least we get to watch the most ethical tank of all time

  7. Hell naw, people upset about all this losing need to learn more about the game and the history of this sport/league. This is good for us long term.

  8. Yeah, I’m not mad. I want a bottom 5 record. I think there’s a good chance they start winning an uncomfortable amount of games once the schedule lightens up and Scottie and IQ come back, so they might as well get the losses in while they can. I’m sympathetic to the ‘bad for morale’ argument, I don’t *want t*he team’s morale to be low, hopefully they can stay together and stay positive, but I care more about getting a good pick. If I had to choose I’d choose bad morale this year and a Top 5 pick over good morale and the 9th pick.

  9. The players and coaches on this team haven’t got the memo about the tank job. Tonight’s effort against the defending champions shows that these guys are giving 100%.

    They just aren’t good enough.

I do like the effort, though. And if Barnes and Quickley can get on — and stay on — the floor, they will be better.

But they still won’t win 30 games. No tanking necessary.

  10. I’m team tank but beating the reigning champs on a 2nb2b would have been good for the team morale as we pile up the losses

  11. We would have won if we could sink free throws in the 4th. But no need to be upset. Young, strong core that is competitive with the reigning champs, while missing 3 keys players and several others. Fun to watch this year, despite the losses.

  12. There are 18 points that are the difference between being where we are, and being tied with Orlando for 3rd in the East. Inject this season into my veins, and let’s keep the ethical tank rolling!

  13. This is one of the most talented “bad” teams I’ve watched. Every game is close. Adding a lottery pick and maybe a free agent signing and this team will be dangerous next year.
