[Adam Schefter] Chargers are allowing just 13.1 points per game this season, the fewest by a team in their first year under a new head coach in the past 20 years.

The second-best? The 2011 San Francisco 49ers, also coached by Jim Harbaugh.

  1. Biggest test of the season so far is today. The bengals aren’t a great team but they are a great offence. Let’s see minter shut them down and then I will be fully onboard with calling this the best defence in the league

  2. I think they’ll pass the 20 points threshold against us, I reckon we’ll need 27+ to win tonight.

  3. I love all the matchup analysis I’ve heard this week discrediting the defense based on who they’ve played. It’s definitely a factor but I don’t think it’s going to be as much of a drop off as most are expecting as they play some better offenses in the next few weeks.

And besides if you just take the Bengals 5 games they’ve played against the bottom 7 offenses in the league, they’re still giving up 17 points per game… So 4 points worse than the Chargers season long average including tons of garbage time points after the chargers go up by 2+ scores and games against decent offenses in KC, AZ, PIT, and DEN.

  4. I want the Chargers to win in a shoot out for selfish fantasy reasons. I have Burrow and Dicker.
