Backcourt about to go crazy (if McCain remains a starter)

I give up on Nurse if hes not. Mccain is the PG1 and Maxey at the 2. Maxey isn’t a true point guard anyway and you can have lowry and EG as their backups respectively.
It’s crazy to look at this side by side. Maxey has been facing number 1 coverages though with teams scheming against him so the numbers aren’t matching up but,
People were comparing this back court to dame and cj. Honestly while we definitely aren’t there yet, it’s not as wild of a take as it initially seemed
We can only start these two in the backcourt if we change out offense so that it doesn’t start with Embiid. He’s gotta take a chris bosh Miami roll.
51/48/100 is absolutely insane.
Even in the loss on Friday he hit some insane 3s. The release 8s lightning quick

People realize this isn’t a viable backcourt right? Like…the offense is one half of the game
the only reason i was cool with lowry starting was because he was a veteran presence who could calm things down on the floor, but as of now, mccain looks like he’s ready to handle that responsibility. so i say ride it out and see what happens with both maxey and mccain starting. we’re 2-10, it can’t get much worse.
If Embiid comes back and plays well, trade him and get a huge haul of picks and maybe a young player or two. This team isn’t winning a championship but you could have a nice build around Maxey McCain. What if you could trade Embiid for a young Holmgren type player? Embiid with injury history might be done in 2 years. Sell high
100% free throw shooter? Didn’t realize that, god damn he’s good
Idk how he can’t be in the starting line-up. There’s absolutely no reason for it not to happen except for Nurse CTE damage. In the worst case scenario , our defense even becomes 1% better because McCain is not a literal corpse on the court
Feels like Dame and CJ. Tons of offensive firepower, but really bad collectively on defense that is difficult for the rest of the roster to overcome
We also need another playable guard. It doesn’t matter if McCain starts or comes off the bench if there is there are still trash guards in the rotation. This isn’t talked about enough. Lowry/EG/Jackson/Dowtin given serious minutes for much longer is us conceding that we’re not a serious team. Dennis Schroder is the best bang for our buck who brings playmaking, shooting, defense, and playable guard depth. We have wing depth such as KJ that can be sent out. Addressing guard and playmaking depth is our top priority.
They’ll be the modern day Isiah and Dumars!

I think PG shoots less and focuses on passing and defense.
