Edmonton Oilers Fans ARE SICK OF BAD GOALTENDING

Enough is enough at this point, goaltending has to be better in Edmonton, and there’s a simple place to start. Why have the results been so poor over the past 10 years, certainly 10 years of bad goaltending isn’t all Stuart Skinner’s fault.

  4. Schwartz is a ten yeared coach coach going on eleven years. Give him another year and if things don’t improve, change him up. The other thing to do is hire a hypnotherapist and make the tender believe he’s Conner Hellabuck. The improvement in the goaltender numbers will dramatically improve guaranteed.

  6. When bouch stopped skating I was like “fkn skates man” I knew what would happen and accept my anger there I just laughed real hard as soon as the puck went in he made like 4 fast crossover’s towards the bench. guy is so soft

  8. Idk if you knew this, but Mike Smith brought in his own goalie coach because he thought Dustin Schwartz was an idiot and didn't know what he was doing, so what does that tell ya?

  10. Sick of both Bouch's brain f..rts and risky passes to opponents AND more so of probably worst goalie pair in the NHL. Most Oilers fans are defending Skinner for some glorious Playoff performance where he was better than Bobrovski. I don't care about stats, Bobrovski was a monster and still is. If Skinner was better than Bobrovski, he should have shut-out the Panthers in Game 7 in Florida. Sinner has many flaws that are basic common-sense goaltending errors, like at least one goal per game through his legs, not closing properly his flaps, standing too much/often when he is being shot on, and not closing flaps, standing too often too far from the goal-line 'inviting' dribblings and empty-netters, escapading behind the goal and then showing that he cannot reposition himself centered in the goal (see Quinn's goal in pre-season, where Skinner did not know he was way off-center in the goal, etc, etc. Pickard, every so slightly better, but still bad. We have no stable, consitent goal-tending! Stolarz was way better than him in Toronto – despite 3-3 after 60', and he is 2nd goalie of the Panthers so to speak. I don't care for any excuses, he is too young, he was pushed too early in the goal, etc. So is Uhlmark and he is a monster compared to Skinner. So yes, I am sick of our goaltending, and I do not care if we barely make the playoffs and then Skinner shows a few great games, I want a goaltender we can bet on every Tuesday, solid goaltending without hickups EVERY SINGLE GAME!!! The 'born-in-Edmonton' bonus is way overspent!

  12. and goes without saying, Dustin Schwarz should be sent to the moon, couple of years ago, he improved our goal-tending squat. How can he, he looks younger than my children!

  13. OK, fine, I accept the possibility of a great goaltending trainer being able to make Skinner better, but wouldn't give him more than 20-30 games with new trainer. Dustin Schwartz belongs fired several years ago!

  14. How about that 5 minute PP after Nurse got knocked out of the game? 2 crap shots on net in a 5 minute PP is as much to blame as anything or anyone else. This team’s struggles aren’t founded on goaltending alone.

Mike smith, khabibulin, koskinen were good goalies unfortunatly our defense just was'nt that good, how many breakaways, two on ones did they face per game? most teams don't give you a single breakaway or two on one. I agree dustin swartz has'nt got results from any goalie and that says something.I feel stuart skinner is a good goalie has decent numbers but again how many breakaways does the guy see per game? how about two-on-ones? You put a steller defence in front of him and he'll improve but again what style do we play? aggresive attacking and forechecking not a trap it up, sit back and let them come to you team. so a turnover is a big chance. Also nurse is the one constant other then swartz. lol. Mike smith as a goalie coach i could get behind, loved that guy.

  17. Wouldn’t it make more sense to have a goalie coach that had some professional experience as a playing goalie in the NHL? Someone that brings experience behind the mask facing the best players on the planet?

  20. It's about consistency. Consistency isn't seen in Bouchard, Skinner or Nurse. Since all along. It's a real concern if they are trying to win a cup.

  23. The Oilers are the only team in the league with three 50 goal scorers and three 100 point scorers and the team is 22nd in league scoring. The biggest problem is not their goaltending.

  28. Bouchard made critical errors yesterday. I don’t care what you say, our goalies are only as good as the team AS A WHOLE, ironically McDavid is out many times when they score on us. Is it all on goalies? I hardly think not. Stop it, we need to quit and say everyone is making stupid mistakes and blowing our leads or burning out at the 50 min mark. It’s exhausting

  29. I’m a big stu fan and I want to see him succeed but you do got to figure out how to get him on track maybe call up Olivier Rodrigue to send him a message that he’s not the only option

  30. Oilers fans beginning of season – Skinner should be starting for team Canada. Oilers fans currently – we need a new goalie… such a delusional fanbase…skinner never should have been considered for 4 nations team
