Evans Segment:

[Pengu] Evans on preparing to face McDavid tonight: "Physically, mentally, you just got to be ready from the jump. Probably the best player in the league, but he's got so much speed and biggest thing is trying to be in his face and taking away his time and space from him and making certain plays more uncomfortable, but it's a pretty hard task to completely take him out."

[Pengu] "As a guy that prides himself on playing strong defensive hockey, you need to embrace these moments and get excited for these challenges. There's not a bigger one than playing against McDavid. I'm excited for it."

[Pengu] Evans on what he can bring from the last game: "1) confidence and how we played. Defensively, we were pretty solid, didn't give up too much, and our offensive game started to grow a little bit too, so getting some confidence there too is big. Sticking to what we know works and staying tight in the defensive zone will help."

[Pengu] Evans on the positive affects paying off now from the adversity the team faced earlier on: "Throughout the season, you're going to go through some slumps and sometimes it's better to get it done early and figure out what's really the problem and go from there. We definitely learned a lot about ourselves during that time and hopefully we can take some more steps after this."

Guhle Segment:

[Pengu] Guhle on if he sees a different challenge tonight: "They have a lot of offensive power and it will be a good test for us tonight. The way that we're playing, the way that we're defending, it should be fine tonight."

Hutson Segment:

[Pengu] "Coming here everyday, working with these guys. Playing in some competitive games. It's been a blast." – Hutson

[Emrith] Lane Hutson on playing against McDavid: "it's definitely going to be cool to see what he can do and try to limit what he can do"

[Emrith] Lane Hutson admits he's been star-struck most nights playing against top NHL players and tonight will be no exception when he goes head-to-head against Connor McDavid.

[Pengu] Hutson on what they can bring from last game to this game: "We're still finding that repeatable game, where we could do that every night, and we want to do that every night, and even more so. We're getting there."

[Pengu] Hutson on facing McDavid: "He's the best player in the league. He's been the best player in the league for a couple of years now so it's definitely going to be a great test. We're really excited."

He was asked if the adversities during the past week helped the team get back on track.

"Sometimes a slap on the face is what is needed to dive down on the problems we had. We're playing better defensively, we're working harder, we're back checking a little tougher, and we stay in our own zone a lot less which helps us play better and gives us more time in the offensive zone, which leads to us taking more shots and we're gonna try to keep that going."

[Pengu] MSL on what Roger Grillo's done to help this team grow: "[Grillo] is an older guy. We have a young staff, so [Grillo] is an older guy and has a lot of wisdom. He's helped us stay organized when we're in the war room, whether its the practice and how we log everything. I feel we had a lot of content, back there, and everything. Our thoughts or ideas or how we do things, I feel [Grillo] is that jar that keeps it all together. Because it's easy to lose all that content because it really happens so fast, so it's been great."

[Pengu] MSL on if that's what he hoped that Roger Grillo was going to bring: "Yeah. That's what I was envisioning. Having a jar that can keep all of it together."

General Segment:

[Emrith] Sam Montembeault will get the start vs. the Oilers tonight and David Savard is expected to return to the line-up after missing Saturday's game with an upper-body injury.
