Glad he got a ring, but that ACL tear changed his performance
Without him I doubt we would’ve won that ravens game and ofc his super bowl td ended up being crucial.
Funny too because, at the time, all the other armchair GMs on r/nfl thought he was washed after his first game here but then complained it was unfair we got OBJ after we won the superbowl and we “bought our ring.”
He doesn’t get reinjured, he goes OFF in the SB.
Unironically one of my favorite rams of the mcvay era, what a fun player
It adds to it, he’s on the record that his time with the Rams reinvigorated his love for the game. He’d been pretty beat up by commentators and physically in games up to that point that season.
It’s great to see their camaraderie before their Miami game.
Probably my favorite “rental” of the mcsnead era. Man was having himself a game in the SB too and if he didn’t get injured was gonna get the SBMVP.
he was nice as hell before the ACL tear. sadly for him his competition that year was triple crown SBMVP Cooper Kupp lol
Fuck this guy. Piece of shit.
I was at the Baltimore game with my brother. When we drove down the field late in the game with a chance to take the lead I turned to him and just said. “OBJ”. Sure enough Odell hauled in the game winning TD. Awesome memory, loved having him in horns.
Odell is a Ram for life in my mind.
I don’t feel the same way about Von, Von always felt like a Bronco for hire and he did a really good job here and I’m thankful to him. But Odell choose to come to LA, and he choose to play for us. He could have basically gone anywhere, and he plays with such emotion that it’s hard to not root for him. When he went down with that knee man it was heartbreaking. I’m glad he got his TD in the Super Bowl.
He’ll always be our Alien.
It was a fun stretch. Who knows what could’ve happened if he didn’t get injured in the Super Bowl. Wish we could’ve enjoyed him for a little longer, but I it wasn’t meant to be.
He probably goes for 150 and 3 TDs in the Super Bowl if he doesn’t get hurt.
