It’s not just the defense struggling.

  1. yep. if it weren’t for the defense being so bad, this offense would be getting shredded by the national media. the steelers defense couldn’t get this offense a win.

even here, the defense is bailing kirk cousins out.

  2. Kirk is hurt, the org won’t say it but he’s feeling that ankle. He has no pop, no snap. Hoping the bye is all he needs but damn is it ever obvious

  3. The weeks the offense has had most success involve a decent number of plays under center and/or boot legs being called. If Kirk is taking plays in the pistol during an obvious passing down, the defense knows to just send the d lineman attacking.

  4. It’s a team sport. They’re not clicking. It’s really that simple. There is no plug and play opportunities

  5. Red zone scheming blows, but if you look at the stats, they show that good defense often results in more TDs. Why? Starting position. Time of possession. But yeah, they still need to come up with some red zone plays. That should be where Pitts and London dominate with their size and the smaller guys get their quick on slants and curls using low throws.

  6. Besides the two Bucs games, Cowboys game, and Eagles game, Kirk has looked very pedestrian. He looked like Desmond Ridder against the Steelers, Saints, Seahawks, and Broncos. And now you have two defenses better than the Broncos for the next 2 games (Chargers and Vikings). This offense needs to step it up against actual good defenses, otherwise Kirk is just beating up on bad defenses.
