[Rhim] In a meeting with the defense on Saturday, Joey Bosa told his teammates about a cynical feeling that would overcome Chargers teams in big games that they would always somehow lose. But he told the group this year felt different and that he had a special feeling about this Chargers team.

  1. >But Sunday night was different. The defense and quarterback Justin Herbert buoyed the Chargers as they avoided another late-game meltdown to beat the Bengals 34-27 at SoFi Stadium. The win was the most glaring declaration of how different these Chargers are under coach Jim Harbaugh.

    >”This team came with more purpose,” linebacker Daiyan Henley said. “**Maybe it wasn’t there last year for whatever reason**, but right now we have purpose, we have belief.”

    >Outside linebacker Joey Bosa is the longest-tenured Charger, drafted by the team in San Diego in 2016.

    >”Having Coach Harbaugh and having the whole staff, I think, has shifted the culture here,” Bosa said.

    >He continued: “I feel like we have a shot. … It just feels a little different right now. It feels like if we keep doing what we need to and preparing the way we do, not getting comfortable, and just continuing to improve every week, I think we have a shot at something special.”

  2. Honestly I think this sort of jinxed the team a bit. Why mention this? It’s why a lot of our core players have ingrained loser mentality. The new guys haven’t been conditioned yet and this planted the seed. An example of an unnecessary story/speech given to a new locker room.

  3. I want this man to thrive. It has been frustrating for him and everybody. We know his potential. I don’t care if he’s playing limited snaps. I just want him healthy to be that game wrecker when we need him. I think Harbaugh and Minter have the leadership he needs to keep a cool head and thrive.

  4. Bosa actually had a good game. Burrow is a slippery mf. Any other QB and Bosa has 1 or 2 more sacks. The defense clutched up at the end and that’s all that matters. First time we’ve seen that in years

  5. I know people are upset about the injuries and shit but I love Joey man. Dude loves the club.

  6. I mean… we kind of still Chargered it last night. The Bengals just were better at it than us. Still a believer though BTFU

  7. Bosa probably told his teammates how he was personally such a clusterf*ck in the last Chargers playoff game but he felt that his teammates probably wouldn’t f*ck up like he had previously.

They then bro-hugged and Bosa fractured a rib.

  8. Seeing Joey under Harbaugh is like music to my ears. Joeys always been great but this season is just different for him and I think Harbaugh has a little to do with it. Seeing him wear the Chargers janitor coat to the past few games just kinda shows the influence Harbaugh is having on him. Love that he’s growing more as a leader in and leaning in to his own ways.

  9. As a lifelong chargers fan, it sure looked like they would charger the game away like always. So glad they pulled it out. Hoping like hell this is real.

  10. I believe this because as a lifelong Bolt fan, I feel this, too.

This team looks like a scary playoff team that can make a deep run.
