  1. At least Yankee fans are entertaining. So many of them have a look of panic as they're repeating with such confidence how Soto will never leave. And how he might take up to 50M less just to stay?๐Ÿ˜‚ At least Mets are iffy and knows anything can happen. Get over the faded 100 year old history. Plenty of players are just not into the whole ancient history thing. Stay for less? Sounds like a discount store ๐Ÿ˜‚

  2. Your personal family experience was much cooler than any Yankee signing.
10 years from now you'll be talking about the next free agent but always remembering Howl Steinbrenner and shared ๐Ÿ˜Šfamily experience.

  3. The mets will never rule NY even if they get Soto. However Yankees need a lot of work done to their roster regardless if they get Soto or not. The argument everyone is making is that they made it to WS cause of Soto , to that I say they didnโ€™t make it all the years till now cause of how bad their roster was constructed.

  5. Pete a 300 million payroll doesnโ€™t guarantee you a World Series championship but the team that has won it the last 5 years have at least 1 or 2 players making over 100 million

  6. Let's compare Ken Griffey Jr. with Juan Soto at 26:

997: Led the American League in home runs with 56, runs with 125, and RBI with 147. He was also named the American League's Most Valuable Player.

I'm aware that it's a different era and why not. But, it's as if we're saying this is the greatest baseball player to play the game. Juan wants to follow in the steps of Robinson Cano, let him. That played well for him
