  1. Get a life Simon ,,;,, your adorable Yankees will have a test of their own medicine
Mets will do to the Yankees what the Yankees have done all the time overspend other teams ,. The Yankees abuse of their power
    Well that is over

  3. I’m feeling certain that the Dodgers are the one team that can prevent the Mets from signing Soto. If the Dodgers grab Soto on deferments and snag Sasaki, I predict MLB reforms to the deferment policy.

  4. If Steve Cohen is ok with making that offer, then I’m ok with it. He knows what’s best for the team, and I trust he and David Stearns to sign players (at whatever cost) that will help build a champion.

  5. Soto, yet being very expensive, he's worth the money. Hes a hitting and on base machine… He can and will be a force in any lineup… think of it like this, he cam hit for power like Alonzo, but a better hitter…

  6. If dodgers get Soto, does that mean the dodgers will become the new Jeter New York world championship Yankees, or the pennant winning, 1 World Series ring Atlanta Braves?

  7. I was watching Soto's 2024 highlights. The video is almost 20 minutes long. While I was watching I was realizing just how good he is and that he hits and plays like he's worth the money.

He has a unique presence when he comes to hit and while he's standing in his stance with his bat glaring at the pitcher that has to face him.

And he really is an exceptional hitter. I can tell that he's not just your ordinary kind of player and hitter when I'm watching his atbats together with how he makes contact with the ball.

I can see and sense the high quality that he has which is 1 of a kind. The Mets are getting him right in the window of his prime at 26 years of age. I see it like Cohens 1st big move was getting Lindor and making him a Met for life.

He grabbed 1 of the best if not the very best short stop and locked him up as his 1st big move. I think his 2nd big move will be locking Soto up now to come bring him to play with Lindor.

  8. There are fans acting like they aren't realizing what's going on with the Mets. They have to jump into an ice bath and to keep themselves warm while they're inside, they have to shout out:

    " The Wilpons are gone !!!! ".

The Mets now have maybe the most intelligent GM in baseball working for the richest owner in baseball. They'll make moves like the moves they made in 2023 but when it's time to make more serious moves they're going to be serious and make them at the right time.

They're not going to make 1 big move at the expense of other moves that they need to make; especially at the expense of their future. I think the combination of this duo in Stearns with Cohen is the best of both worlds.

The most money in Cohen linked together with the best brain in Stearns. I don't think you can put together a better tag team to own and run a team. Look at how far the Mets got in 2023 without Stearns making the very best moves and without Cohen making the biggest signings.

The Mets with this ownership and the brain of this GM are not signing Soto and staying stuck without being able to address the other holes.

  9. Don't hate. We all get some things right and some things wrong. The one THING FOR SURE IS. SOTO is NOT worth more money then Ohtani. If anyone disagrees they don't know baseball…. Soto is a 1 tool player. Take that 700 mill and prospects. Trade for Brent Rooker, Great pictures, sign Santander, burnes and snell , the Japanese kid and maybe Christian walker for 1st if Alonso leaves and the power kid from Oakland the lead off hitter. That's 8 players all possible to do not equaling a Soto contract. On the other hand u land Soto and Santander trade for rooker, the white Sox pitcher and robert jr. Either way let's not get stuck or we will miss out and fight again for 89 games with our money availability we should be winning more then 100 yearly
