We don’t need to hyper analyze every single statement the rest of the year. He’s thinking about firing his ST Coach today. That’s reality.
wait until we fire Stefanski and promote Vrabel and the team still sucks next year because it’s just not a very good roster with a massive hole at the most important position on the team
Seeing the dead cap hits from the apathetic losers we probably won’t even keep around next year (not just Watson) would make anyone check out and hope they get a nice severance.
Man I really hate that there’s a possibility that Haslam would cut ties with our best coach since coming back.
I can’t believe the team would’ve fought for him prior and he would’ve made it this far into his tenure with us if the locker room was dead on him. There have been numerous times that a locker room gave up on a coach, those are usually evident within the first 18 games of a coach’s tenure.
Honestly I think im more in the keep stefanski fire AB crowd. We have given out too many bad contracts. And so so at the draft at best.
I normally like Kevs approach to press conferences but at some point you have to be able to call players out in public. He wouldn’t even answer when asked about the teams effort. Defensive effort was obviously not there and you gotta call them out when it gets this bad. Every good coach has done that at some point. Giving non answers week in and week out is getting old when the team is this bad.
I think a useful exercise with this stuff is to imagine how quickly the guy you want to fire would have another job. If the answer is “quickly” maybe it’s time to look within
This team has absolutely zero ability to handle adversity. At the first sign of even minor adversity they fold.
I’ve always liked KS’ smooth unemotional handle…but maybe his lack of fire is translating into apathy in the locker room
Why is no one blaming Schwartz and Ventrone??? Defense never adjusts and special teams have sucked all year. Go ahead and fire Stefanski, he will have a job in no time.
Kevin Stefanski gives a very Kevin Stefanski response in the same manner that he always gives responses. He literally says this type of stuff after every game, win or lose, a few extra comments here or there, but no material difference.
If there has been anything to learn over the last 3 years, it’s that most of us do not think the same way that the Browns organization does about many things.
There are SO many people projecting their emotions about this team onto the players, coaches, and ownership. This clip is 100% that.
For people acting like they’ve checked out on this team already, it’s sure funny how they keep giving opinions about the Browns.
Dude won coach of the year twice, how is this even a thought? It’s a shitty year, sure, but I’d definitely rather stick with him.
The season was lost when we trotted Watson out there as a 1-4 team and the players knew that the season was cooked
This team doesn’t deserve Stefanski. That man didn’t win coach of the year for nothing.
Huh?
This is literally just Kevin being Kevin.
Have they never heard the man speak before?
just accept the tank and realize the front office isn’t trying to win anymore games this year. the ship has sunk. stop blaming kevin. you only have so long in a nfl season before you consider the season a lost cause. i don’t expect kev to get on the podium and act like we gave it our all out there at this point of this terrible season
I think he has just given up and knowsn8t won’t get bette
Ken Carman is fun, but this is how Kevin Stefanski always sounds after a loss. What do they think changed?
The GM is the problem. Or at least took an unreasonable risk for a QB who really wasn’t that good even on the Texans. Add the forced handjobs and the fact that he doesn’t care about football anymore because of the money and handjobs. We drafted 10 Db’s. Baby Huey at left tackle. Never have had a proper DT. Additionally was baker so bad. I’m literally contemplating I will probably die before the browns win a Super Bowl. I probably have 30 more years in me.
At this point Kevin is probably secretly begging to be fired. Watson has been foisted on him, but he played along with the company line. He’s been there long enough to witness first hand Haslams meddling. He’s got an anchor around his neck with Watson. He looks defeated, he ain’t motivating anyone these days including himself.
If we fire him isn’t it almost destiny that he goes somewhere else and becomes the next Belichick? (I think if you asked many browns fans of a certain age what the most shocking event of their life is, Belichick becoming the goat coach would unironically be #1 for a lot of them)
Stef wants out and who can blame him? I believe the Watson debacle was forced on him. Browns are a dysfunctional mess, why would he want to stay when he’ll be hired in a heartbeat?
Hey if you guys want to fire him, go ahead. My Bears will take him!

Not sure if anybody [watched](https://www.google.com/search?q=kevin+stefanski+post+game+interview&rlz=1C1GCEA_enUS1050US1050&oq=kevin+stefanski+post+&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBwgBEAAYgAQyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQABiABDIHCAIQABiABDINCAMQABiDARixAxiABDIHCAQQABiABDIJCAUQABgKGIAEMgoIBhAAGAoYFhge0gEIODU5M2owajeoAgiwAgE&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:58ac7ee0,vid:-LVSuZVPj74,st:0) the actual presser but at the beginning he is absolutely STEAMING with anger. At the 7 second mark his hand is literally shaking with anger. I am thinking he fucking ripped into the defense for sucking ass in the fourth and giving the game away to a te/wr/rb/qb.
