  1. The Jags had two number 1 picks and they're still bad. Pretending a top 5 pick would magically be the saviour of an entire franchise is fools gold.

  6. Nick back to defending Carr, yes he’s playing “alright” but not $40 million/year good. Stop acting like he’s played good all season and he shouldnt get any criticism. I know he’s not the worst qb in the NFL but a $40 million qb should be able to raise the the rest of the team, he couldn’t even get the ball to our #1. Again, not saying he is horrible but there’s definitely reason for the criticism, to act like there is not is pretty dumb 😂

  7. Carr problem is his contract! DA gave him 140 million. It’s expected that he elevates everyone around him. If he was 25 million a year we wouldn’t can’t. But the fact we stuck with him at that price is terrible.

  10. I am surprised at how much you guys worry about draft picks. You can find good football players in any round of the draft. It's much better to develop a winning attitude and culture than to find a starter in the top 3 picks.

  14. Carr also missed a wide open Taysom who had space. But it was a good game. It is nice to be getting players back! And it is nice that they used TEs and not just Taysom too. Maybe not having WRs for a bit will be good to teach them to use TEs again in receiving.

  15. Something tells me nick isn’t a REAL saints fan..u shud always want ur team to win. I understand u want a good pick In draft but we have 6 picks in top 150. We can do some nice things with those picks alone. Top picks don’t always work out as history has shown..Winston being 1..

  18. I would put my money on a team that goes from 2-7 to 9-8 or even 8-9. Because we got a coach that pretty much turned it around. And still a 14th pick. Than lose and got to get another coach and a high draft pick that's not guaranteed

  19. Not to mention. They are learning a whole new offense. Could it be that if they learn it they will roll through the rest of the season. If we clicking we can score more points than the rams

  27. Culture change takes time….and this much culture change in just two weeks is huge if you ask me. One has to wonder how much incremental improvements could be made if he has more time with this team. Additionally, he is ready to change things rather than continuing to do things the way they have always been done. In other words, hiring him will be like hiring an outside coach. Give him the job and lets move right along

  28. So Carr isn't supposed to take us to the Super Bowl but he's not the worst quarterback. He's average but paid like a star… He won't sink the team… But he 100% did last season. Excuses, excuses, excuses

  31. People need to learn the game! Has anyone watched the Commanders play or just the highlights. Hands down it’s just highlights. Daniels can catch a quick nap with that OL. And has a way better defense. So tired of STUPID!

  32. Tanking is a losing method. You can only build a succesful culture with wins, and that is much more important than an improved draft position. Just get the best player available, whatever their position, and fill holes with non draft signings. Carr is in the 10 ten QBs, he is an asset, reliable, tough and not a prima donna. The team is more important to him. Would other QBs allow Taysom to be QB as often, I think not.

  34. Nice conversation… however I do not agree that Derek Carr has been playing well this season. I think he’s highly inconsistent as a qb and to me the qb is the heart of the team. I do agree that he performs well in spurts. One of you said “what game are you watching?” I’d like to ask you the same?? Often times, when pressured he just throws the ball and it ends up getting intercepted. It’s very frustrating to watch as a saints fan. I will say that he’s in a tough position with Drew Brees as his predecessor. The thing is football stats are awesome when you’re winning games and are somewhat consistent but when your stats are good but your field play is telling a different story, it’s frustrating.
