  1. Before i watch this video I will say no. Taylor Jenkins inherited Ja Morant. The jury is still out Taylor Jenkins. I want to see a fully healthy squad going into the playoffs. We have to put respect on Lionel Hollins. Lionel Hollins was the one that really brought the grit and grind era.

  2. On paper yes but that's only because this city doesn't seem to view things from the championship perspective and many are fine just dominating regular season games but never winning it all. If that's the mind set Jenkins+Ja is regular season winning machine. Jenkins is exposed most in playoffs situations

  3. IMO Jenkins has not earned the title of best coach yet but I’ve been seeing people straight up say he’s trash or he can’t coach. Everyone that’s started trashing him now is fake as hell. Y’all weren’t saying he can’t coach until this season when you saw some of his rotation decisions and got angry. Now they look at his career through 💩 stained glasses so they’ve started blaming him for failures that have way more to do with injuries and suspensions. The bottom line is Jenkins is one of the best defensive and developmental coaches in the league. He’s not great with the offense though and he’s arguably faced more adversity in the past few seasons than every other coach. I think he’ll be considered our best coach in the next 4-5 years.

  4. Jenkins and his staff have been the only ones to actual develop young talent. None of these other coaches came close to doing that. Memphis can't sit here every year and have leverage to change coaches like other teams could. Two things come to mind though….Injuries and timing….

  5. Jenkins is definitely the better coach because he actually develops the younger talent on the team. Grizzlies would have won that series if Tony Allen didn’t get hurt that year. We didn’t lose the series until he got hurt that year. Only problem both coaches had was they was are not good at adjusting there systems to fit around other players whose not a good fit but really talented
