Rashan Gary’s pass rush production: first 5 games vs last 5 games.

Hopefully he’s getting more comfortable in Halfley’s scheme, the first month was really concerning
Still not seeing the impact consistently
Stop me if you have heard this before: our defense is mediocre.
Idk how we even got pressures in this last game. We were sitting in soft zone 85% of the game and just letting them have quick throws.
We definitely need to bring someone in that shows more technical ability to rush the passer next season opposite of Gary
Now if we could just get someone worthwhile across from him. LVN not looking great. Enagbare average at best. Clark going over the hill. Jury still out on Wyatt?
He has 2.5 sacks, not 3, from weeks 6-11. He also has 2.5 sacks if you include weeks 2-11. So you can make the numbers tell whatever story you want. Either way he’s not justifying his contract.
>Per PFF, Gary has been chipped on 16.5 percent of his pass-rush snaps, the sixth-highest in the league.
>But every great pass-rusher gets chipped and has to find a way around it. T.J. Watt gets chipped more than any other player but has made seven sacks this season. Myles Garrett has 36 pressures despite being chipped on 21.9 percent of his snaps. Micah Parsons has more pressures in four games than Gary does in eight, and he is chipped slightly more often.
He’s being acknowledged as a great pass rusher by other teams and he’s figuring out how to deal with it. His impact is not to be understated.
A terrific and underrated player. Love this guy. Always a max effort!
How much of this is schematic. Maybe earlier he was there to suck up double teams and get more focus and now he’s been moved off where he is able to get to the QB?
Somebody has all-22 or understands this better comment on this
Good to see the numbers pointing up.
So you’re saying weeks 12-17 should be: 57 pressures and 9 sacks? I’ll take it.
