  1. I have been a devoted giants fan for over 50 years. This franchise has become a laughing stock and they continue to embarrass them selves and continue to insult knowledgeable fans. This has become worse than the 70's, THATS REALKY BAD!!!!. SELL THE TEAM MR MARA

  2. I totally agree to your analyse! At the end of the day, it's a show – and you need to fuel the fan with someting – without officially tanking (as the season is obviously lost).

  3. Why do you think no one would show up to watch Drew Lock? He played pretty well in the games Seattle needed him last year. Certainly gave them chances to win and had the arm to do some good things. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense…

  4. Nobody really cares very much about the QB at the Giants. They know what they have in the Drew. So might as well see if they have something in the Tommy as sometimes though rarely players surprise in a real NFL game. Plus the business aspect. Ya, you can tell the HC did not make that decision in the interview. LOL Made me chuckle as he sort of squirmed at the question. Thank you Mike, good analysis as usual.

  5. My things I've been a New York Giants fan since '85 and we never drafted a black quarterback nor have a black quarterback ever started except when they benched Eli now in 2025 draft the top quarterbacks in the draft if the Giants is number one overall is a black quarterback and they know we need a black quarterback I have them picking the Oregon ducks quarterback just saying

  6. Clearly the Giants are starting Tommy Cutlets because it gives the lowest probability to win the rest of the season, but still showing the faithful fans that they're trying to play for something. Don't forget, he's a jersey boy, hometown hero! With Locke in as the starter they may just win a few games and ruin their place in the draft which is what the franchise doesn't want. Business first then football entertainment.

  7. For all of you who dont have a clue Devito won 3 games last year when DJ got hurt last year. He knows the playbook and shown that he can provide a spark.

  8. I think they are testing DeVito to be the second string next year or maybe even start the season as the starter until Sanders, or whoever, is ready to start and then Danny will be the back up. The Giants are not accustomed to carrying three QBs, but this year was unique because of the injury to Jones and no one was really sure if Jones would be ready to start this year.

  9. Jones being benched was both business and football. He’s been horrible, the team’s horrible with him, the injury clause is there… the only football plus on his side is he’s the best we have.

Drew Locke was the long-term backup I.e., if DJ was on PUP list at the start of the season and he had to play 4-6 with some hope. At this point he’s an overpriced backup with no future on the Giants.

DeVitto is a fan favorite and a more likely backup for the future. Get him the reps now for future dividends. With this team DeVitto/Locke is more or less a push. Locke is probably better, but Tommy has a higher ceiling.
