  1. Joe Burrow did this to himself when he took a cap heavy, non team friendly deal. His contract is the reason the Bengals had to let go of several key defensive pieces. His contract is the reason Jamaar Chase is probably not a Bengal next year. He wanted all the money, and that is what he got. If he wanted to compete for championships, he should have taken a more Mahomes-like deal that left Cincinnati with cap space for the first few years to keep guys or go get guys, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

  2. This game was not about play calling. Play calling hasn't been the issue for the last couple games at all. We need four quarters of defense. We need healthy players. We need better draft choices, we needed to do some real dealing before the trade deadline, and we need to stop letting key people walk. Replacing Mixon with Moss was silly. Letting Bates walk two years ago was crazy. Not giving Chase a contract in the offseason is really gonna cost us.

  3. Bengals have a passing offense but nothing else. It's really that simple. Defense and special teams have let them down… Chargers have addressed it with Harbaugh… Bengals gotta take notes…

  4. Unfortunately burrow is stuck in Cincinnati till 2029… i wouldn’t be surprised if Chase and Higgins are gone this year.. or even if they kept Higgins and traded off Chase.. dude is a star but his attitude ain’t it.

  5. 😂the bengals will bungal ha ha sorry we chargers fans had to deal with that for herberts first 4 seasons herbert putting up crazy numbers putting the team on his back for the stupid head coach and historicaly bad defense to lose us games every damn week herbert was always throwing 50-55 times a game so many 300+ yard games multiple TDs a game and we would still lose constantly one season of anthony lynn and 3 of brandon staley it was awful harbaugh comes in cleans out a bunch of positions doesnt look as hood on paper but that dont matter he builds his team his way tough and physical good defense thats the harbaugh way he came here and its like a switch was flipped completely different team now anf this is one offseason with no cap space

  6. I am reminded of this quote by Captain Jean Luc Picard of the Federation Starship Enterprise: "Mr. Data, it is possible to make no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life."

This one also comes to mind. "Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good."

Whatever you want to apply to it, the Bengals have just had a rough go of it this season.

How many teams can we say have way better talent than their records indicate this season? At least 3 come to mind – Cowboys, Jaguars, and Bengals. You could probably also apply that to the Browns and Bears as well.

  7. Jim Harbaugh. The man. The myth. The best turnaround coach of the modern era. Everywhere he goes there’s always such a big culture change almost immediately, why? He’s a passionate, fiery, and smart guy that loves football and sticks to basics. Nothing flashy, just getting wins. As for the Bengals I feel for Joe Burrow, and as Chargers fan all too familiar with having a QB doing fantastic and an explosive offense with talent, and yet finding ways to lose. Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are solid WR1’s and not winning with both of them at the helm is a damn shame. They all deserve better. If Zac Taylor isn’t fired after this season and a complete revamp doesn’t happen like with the Chargers, Burrow, Higgins, and Chase should all find a new team ASAP. Just wasting talent over there and while likely they can’t move on to somewhere else next year it’s a shame their prime is being wasted on a team that should be 7-4, not 4-7.

  8. The window is closing on Cincinnati's ability to make the playoffs regularly let alone make deep runs. The team is in free fall, and it will lose some good players at the end of the season. The Bengals have done nothing to improve their O-Line and their defense. Oh, how has not keeping Joe Mixon turned out?

    Thanks, Brown family.

  9. as chargers fan i dont want to hear any damned excuses for burrow. herbert carried an incompetent coaching staff and defense to a playoff berth. worstdh coach, worst defense, terrrible run game. media just always conveniently ignored the fact that absolutely nothing around herbert aside from keenan allen was supporting his greatness. with how bad the whole team and coching was the chargers had no business being in as many one possession games as they were. all because of herbo. the boy is just a diffrerent kind of special.

  10. Burrow is a very good QB no doubt. He also is quite cocky and looks to be arrogant especially when he is winning. Justin Herbert played a great game and no credit or headlines are around for how well he played.I love how humble Herbert is. All I see is “ Bengals lose a close one” or “ Chargers almost lose” or “ Chargers hang on”. GO CHARGERS!!

  11. Yall feel sorry for Burris but Lamar has a bottom tier defense this year where is his excuses 🤔 his defense is better than Burrows but still like c’mon im really thinking it’s about race atp

  12. it concerns about media talk about the Bengals deserve better. No ! they not play well enough for winning games and it a big problem for them. They have no more credit since their Superbowl season in 2021 They still think they're in the 2021. It's over they got to go in dwag mode like the Ravens

  13. Everybody needs to pump the brakes a bit on how great Joe Burrow stats are just to put in perspective when you’re down 21 points and you have literally have to throw it four downs at a time to try to get back in the game. Your stats are gonna start getting juiced For example Cooper Rush for the Dallas Cowboys threw for 354 yards and a touchdown last night.

  14. Herbert’s first 4 years great numbers, horrible defense
NATIONAL MEDIA: Herbert’s not a winner.
Burrow, great numbers horrible defense. NATIONAL MEDIA: Burrow needs help. Crazy how it works

  15. Why is it that burrow getting screwed over by a shitty defense and coaching is instantly recognized by NFL fans, yet when herbert was in the same damned predicament for 4 seasons, most of yall were quick to blame herbert!

    Make it make sense!!

  16. Burrow should demand a trade and refuse to report next year until he gets one. I know that is not a great move, but he is often injured through no fault of his own. The OL is consistently not up to the task. Just a bad team and bad organization. He will never be able to play to his potential on that team.

  17. One year after Joe Burrow has a bad coach bad defense and no O line people are coming to his defense and saying he deserves better. Funny thing is Justin Herbert dealt with all that his first 4 years and everyone blamed him! Saying he's not elite he's not a winner so fuck all that keep that same energy! It's all Burrows fault!

  18. Always bums me out to see great player's careers wasted on shitty teams. Max Crosby, Micah Parsons–he's young and might be able to get free of the Texas Circus Side Show–and so far, Justin Herbert. One season with a competent coach and the Charges already look like a different team. I hope Joe Burrow gets to play in another Super Bowl, but right now it isn't looking promising.
