[Canucks] JT Miller to take indefinite leave for personal reasons

  1. Wish him and the family well. Crazy to think he was just doing an autograph event on Friday too with this likely in the background.

  2. Fuuuuuuuuuuuck what. I hope JT is okay and will be thinking of him. I am glad they’re keeping it private, even though I’m desperate to know what’s going on. What a season.

  3. Damn that guy wasn’t lying about the leave of absence. I really hope the guy is lying about a degenerative spinal disease because that sounds like a career ended.

Praying for you and your family, JT.

  4. We all owe that guy who had his post taken down an apology

Edit for those OOTL: there was a post today saying the Canucks and the league would be making an announcement about JT and the best thing we could do was to give him space. It got deleted.

  5. Screw hockey for a minute, whatever he’s going through, I’m wishing him and his family all the best.

  6. I commented yesterday at how mentally drained and I called it ‘depressed’ he looked at the Langley signing on Friday right after the Islanders game. Seeing him then and knowing he played Saturday and Sunday right after I said we gotta cut him some slack he’s nursing that wrist 1000% and doesn’t seem in best spirits.

I said I thought the break between Tuesdays game and Saturdays would be great for him, but I couldn’t imagine him taking an indefinite leave from the team.

I’m saddened and shocked. A lot of people can agree, he’s the heart and soul of this team. I hope hes ok

  7. I wonder if this goes back further too. He was asked 10 times 10 different ways if he was hurt or something else was going on and insisted he’s ready to play. This after he missed the entire preseason and was playing in the home opener against Calgary. Whatever it is, I hope he’s okay and his family is alright.

  8. Fuck man, I thought he was just injured, but I guess he’s been dealing with some other shit. Hope he’s alright.

  9. This is…bad.

Obviously I hope that Miller can sort things out and get back to being the guy that we all know he can be. His family & mental health, or whatever may be going on, matter above all else.

On the hockey side, this is now two of the top 3 players on this team that won’t be playing for an indefinite period of time, on a team that’s already played guys like Heinen and Bains in the top 6 at times. I don’t know how, but Allvin is gonna need to find some kind of solution on the trade market.

  10. A thread from yesterday said he looked very depressed at a signing in Langley.  Starting to make sense now.

  11. Holy shit. Sucks for the team obviously, but Millsy’s gotta do what’s right for him/his family. Hope everything’s ok! Wishing J.T. and his family the best.

  12. If it was physical health related, they would just put him on IR with ‘upper body injury’ instead of this, so i dont think those rumors of the disk injury adds up..

  13. JT has been my favourite canuck for years now. I’m completely stunned. Prayers up for JT and his family.

  14. Godspeed to Millsy and his family. The JT Miller chants at Rogers Arena will be absolutely deafening when returns.
