Good on him. I figured he was not an NBA talent based on what I had seen, but I’m impressed with this progress. Maybe he can be that Andre Miller Jr.
Now do Zeke (who is younger btw)

Paul Reed, Chris Boucher, and Mac McClung are probably the only MVPs you’ve ever heard of.
G to NBA is like comparing grade school to high school seniors.
He has been balling out in the G-League since we drafted him, but it never translated into the NBA games he played. Not sure if that ever changes, but I do feel like he can play better than what he has shown thus far.
Just get good enough to trade

Begs the question, “What is the G League even for?” Because people are saying that Pickett is still not really good enough for the NBA and can’t learn anything in the G-League either. So he can go dominate in this farm league that he has reached the pinnacle of, but he can’t be a rotation NBA player. That means every single player in the G-League has no business aspiring to playing in the NBA.
There is this magical thing players do. It’s called improve. Pickett went from a 16/4/9 per36 in the G-League last season. To 26/10/9 per36 in the G-League this season. it’s not that the G-League “sucks” it’s that Pickett is a high IQ Player and made a All-Star level jump in his player development.
With his passing skills and Basketball IQ he would probably save the bench single-handedly. But the reason the Bench is as bad as it is in the first place, is because the Nuggets rarely give opportunities to actually good players. instead they sign Nnaji and bring back Cancar because of vibes, and hope their first round picks become good.
