One Jonathan India Trade Rumor Already Off the Table for Cincinnati Reds?

The Nick Martinez news may preclude the Cincinnati Reds from making a trade involving Jonathan India. The Reds need to trade India to maximize his value and improve holes on the roster. Also, is someone interested in Jeimer Candelario? The Reds also will be broadcast by MLB next year in a switch from Bally Sports/FanDuel Sports TV, as was announced over the weekend. This is good for us Reds fans but may be precarious for Reds revenue. And the Reds added two players to the 40-man roster to protect them from the Rule 5 Draft.   16. I don’t trust Jim Bowden for anything so I’m still holding out hope that the Brady Singer deal is not done because I think it would really be a great fit! I love the new TV deal for those of us that are in market! To me the only thing that would make it better would be if they can strike a deal for the in market cities to be free over the air via antenna without having to have cable or the package, but if it’s just the package, I’m definitely not complaining! I hope most of the team doesn’t lose their jobs on the broadcasting side. I’m anxious to find that out. Good job breaking down the rule five draft! That can be very confusing sometimes so I appreciated you devoting time to it! Oh well, I almost forgot if the A’s want Candy I agree good take him!

  21. One thing you can always be sure of: a segment of the Reds fanbase is going to be obsessed with trading Jonathan India, because you know, he's average, or so the legend goes. It doesn't matter if he's the heart and soul of the team, but like Joey Votto, he's just a guy who routinely disappoints. The reality is there are too many fansites and too many people who are so tuned into knowing what's best for the team that come hell or high water they're going to find someone on the team to blame for everything bad that happens. Since Votto has gone, that guy is India. Just repeat the same mantra each night as you go to sleep: 'India is a bum and he needs to be traded' because well, it's your thing in life.
