  1. Team always plays like they’re holding a 6 goal lead when they’re only up by 1. They litreally play to not get embarrassed instead of trying to win

  2. Let’s pray Richardson is gone after this. But have a feeling Davidson will keep letting him get away with thid

  3. Outworked by a 7 win Ducks team that played in Dallas the night before. Experience Richardson hockey.

  4. Post game thread bingo:

    * Fun game!
    * This team is supposed to be bad
    * What else can Richardson do?
    * Just bad bounces
    * Changing the coach won’t do anything
    * It’s a rebuild. It takes (any number between 5 and 25 years)
    * _______________ (free space for your write-in)

  5. Richardson wants the team to play like they are scared, If we(dudes from the sub) made a team and faced the Hawks, he would ask them to play defensive. FIRE HIM NOW

  6. I think almost everyone agreed that this was no longer a bottom-feeder team prior to the regular season. KD pretty much said being at the bottom again was unacceptable. Yet with the usual caveat that the season is early(ish), we are 32 out of 32. The Ducks, especially on a back-to-back on the road, are clearly beatable. Richardson is just unable to get anything out of this team.

  7. Bedard-Dickinson-Teravainen
    Hall-Reichel-Kurashev
    Mikheyev-Foligno-Donato
    Maroon-Smith-Bertuzzi

    Keep the lines and let them cook. Dickinson helped give Bedard a lot of space. Anderson seemed out of place on the top line. Might be a hot take but Bertuzzi looks so slow. Can keep him on the power play for net front presence but I haven’t liked his game lately. Reichel has been consistent and needs more minutes to get scoring chances. And for the love of god put in a more offensive system

  8. Richardson is absolutely gone soon or by the end of the year if they don’t improve from last season, they didn’t spend all this money to be the worst team again

    this isn’t a playoff team, but you don’t get multiple players to improve the team to suck this bad

  9. I’d be more enthused about this team’s performance if this was the McKenna draft and not the Hagens one.

  10. Since this team is currently alone in last place, seems like a good time to check in on the top 2025 prospects. Misa and Martone are both dominating in the OHL, and Hagens is stacking assists at BC.

    **Hagens:** 1g 10a in 9gp. Leads team in assists, tied w/ Ryan Leonard for 2nd on the team in points.

    **Misa:** 23g 19a in 21 gp. Leads his team in points by a wide margin (12)

    **Martone:** 16g 21a in 18gp. Leads his team in points.

  11. If we’re just trying anything for line combos at this point, I’d like to see a Bedard Dickinson Donato line. Curious to see what Donato can add to that line over Anderson.

  12. I think this game has proven Dickinson deserves a spot in the top 6, but we still really need some major strategy changes because it’s just not working and it’s boring as shit to watch.

  13. Shades of playing not to lose for the entire second half there. Might be time to start a counter of “Days since the Chicago Blackhawks scored more than 2 goals in a game” because God does this offense make me sick. We were promised exciting but sloppy, still not great hockey, not boring yet somehow worst in the league hockey, and the level of talent on this team does not justify how lost everyone looks.

    The passing tonight seemed egregiously bad as well. It’s like nobody knew where their linemates would be and just said, “Fuck it, the center’s over there somewhere”. But the center was not over there; he was heading off for a line change.

  14. Bad I can handle. Shit, this team has been out of contention for almost a decade. What I don’t *want* to have to handle is the combo of bad, boring and coward. One of those at a time, please.

  15. For a team that has been awful on zone entries it criminal to have Reichel getting 9:15 of playing time when he gives us some of our best offensive rushes this season. He’s done everything asked of him to bounce back from a horrible year and it seems like one defensive mishap is enough to put him in the dump. Is he going to go back to being a healthy scratch?

  16. I’m not sure how you can look at this seasons roster and say it’s not objectively better than last year. Last year we had almost a second line and 3 4th lines. This year we have almost a first line 2 3rds and a fourth line. Say what you will about AA’s defensive efforts, we need offense and he stapled him to the press box while playing 9 defensive forwards who have never scored more than 20 goals in a season.

    This roster is better, the play is not, the players seem hesitant and disinterested. Very reminiscent of right before JC was fired. I’m not sure how any of this can fall at KD’s feet. He has his plan, communicated his plan, and has executed it pretty well. The contracts he has signed have been efficient and fair. Can’t fault him for Turbo and Bert looking like practice dummies. That said, I’m not sure how much their lack of production is them verses whatever LR is asking them to do.

  17. The best course of action now is for me to turn off my television lest I see Luke Richardson’s post game interview and start thinking that I didn’t watch the same 60 minutes of hockey.

  18. If Donato can maintain his early season production, I wonder what kind of return he would get at the deadline. He’s been one of the only consistent bright spots this season, but he’s a pending UFA so it makes sense to get some assets for him if he isn’t going to be extended.
