Was curious whether Caitlin Cooper's tweet about Haliburton's home/away performance also applied to last season (post injury)

This season

Home: 20.8 points on 46/39/79 shooting in 6 games

Away: 12.1 points on 32/19/81 shooting in 7 games

Last season (after returning from injury)

Home: 15.8 points on 44/27/84 shooting

Away: 17.6 points on 46/34/85 shooting

If anything he played better away than home.

That said, it's also possible the back issue didn't really affect his performance last year, but only started this season. The fanbase is left in the dark about Tyrese's health so all we can do is speculate

  1. It’s also over fewer than 10 games each, it’s possible it’s just statistical noise.

  2. He was definitely looking a little more like himself in the recent home games. He was the only starter who looked close to decent against Miami in the first game, then played well in the second. He looked like a completely different person against Toronto.

  3. I think his back may be part of the problem. But OBVIOUSLY confidence seems to be the bigger issue. At times, he is passing up shots in the lane and other open looks. All the shots, even the floaters and layups, look like he’s guiding the shot instead of just releasing in rhythm

  4. See, I dunno. Folks get excited when Hali drops 35. I dunno. I’d rather see him get back to averaging 12+ assists.

I know you gotta be a scoring threat to get assists. I know he’s clearly dealing with an injury. I’m just saying I think he’s a good storer but an elite playmaker. Also I miss Buddy

  5. skilled players like Hali don’t just drop off a cliff in their 20s without a good reason.

he’s either dealing with an injury or he got his his talent sucked out by a Monstar.
