  1. I love coach Mike! He's focused & even keeled. I know people have complained about everyone's play calling, but I think it's a credit to coach Mike, and I assume all of them, that they aren't exposing any secrets. The team isn't whole it fully functional yet, so no reason to do anything fancy. There was a little bit of fun stuff, but 99% basically, trying to install a system into this inherited team. I think also it's telling that the Ravens defense did get a little bit worse without Mike there.

I also love Ernest! Great player, great guy! So excited to have him. We have amazing pieces on our team. We aren't whole, but we have a strong skeleton đź‘Ť I was over hyped about this year, but I think this team is gonna be awesome!

You Lions go kick butt while we knit our team together! It is cool to see you guys coming into your own, and I'm especially happy Jared Goff is in a place I can root for him. And he's doing better there! Honestly, watching the changing of the guards has been interesting đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

  2. Lifelong Hawks fan here…..have really loved the things the Lions have done. No one gonna beat them….Good luck in the Super Bowl…will be rooting for that team

  3. Good take I like coach Mac a lot and this defense has been really bad the last few years. Not really realistic to expect him to make us a top 10 D in his first year without getting some of his guys. EJ4 definitely looks like our guy. Short sample but if it continues we gotta give him a bag, we're all so tired of getting ran on for years.

  4. Hawks fan since I was a kid in the 80’s bc of my dad. Need more people like you who aren’t haters of other teams!!!!! It doesn’t need to be that that!!!! ITS ABOUT THE LOVE OF THE GAME ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  5. I'm very confident in Mike McDonald. Seems like he is very competent as a head coach and motivating the team. And he is willing to make the tough decisions to make the team better, like moving on from both starting LBs because they weren't getting it done.

  6. 1.1st season with a new coach: make big plans, assemble the team according to those plans; playoffs is a big bonus.
    2. Please, to the pigskin gods: Detroit vs Buffalo, in this season's finale at the Super Bowl.

  7. Its been rocky with the new staff and the injuries early, but I think they're gonna figure it out and make some moves. I think most of us wouldn't be sad to see your Lions go all the way.

  8. I just can't agree with the comment about Geno not being able to "hit" guys. 69% completion rate, with way too many dropped balls. And the one thing Goff absolutely cannot do, is play well with pressure on him. The Texans showed everyone that, when they got to him, he was terrible. This has been his Achilles forever, just ask McVay. Credit to him for doing what he has so far, he's had the cleanest pockets in the league, and he's making defenses pay. But put him in Seattle and he's likely already benched with the horrific O line they fielded thus far. However the Hawks O line looks improved in the game at SF, with Olu at C and Lucas back, they were better, still not great.

  9. I moved to Seattle 37 years ago so am a Seahawks fan but I was born and raised in Detroit. The firstvpro games I saw the Lions play were at old Tiger Stadium. Many times I sat in the lower center field bleachers. Attended a few Thanksgiving games. I bought the NFL streaming package so I could watch the Lions games. I am so darned proud of you. The fans deserve all of the kudos, the praise, the accolades. Heck, I listen to the Lions song on You Tube. Just Go Lions!!!!

  10. I concur with 8.5 on confidence that he is a man that can get us back to a Super Bowl contending franchise. I like that he is defensively wired and appears to be a players coach that has a very objective and steady approach. Head coach is responsible for building a culture of winning and I think he is ahead of schedule with what he inherited.

  11. needed more than a signature victory- needed an offensive line, and we might have a decent O-line now. Enough to get us in playoffs.

We had 2 new starters on O-line. That is the difference

  12. Seahawk fan since Ground Knox. Hate Steelers, Hate cowboys, Hate Niners, Hate Broncos…………would LOVE to see The Lions win a Super Bowl. Better do it before McDonald gets this team to your level and then maybe we battle for NFC yearly. Much respect.

  13. Die hard Hawks fan here. I enjoy watching your take on the Seahawks, you know your stuff. As far as coach goes, I'm a big fan of his and I do like what he is doing with the team. But, I would really like to see him show some emotion on the sideline. I understand that staying calm and professional is the best attribute in a head coach, but come on!! I want to see him get fired up! The players feed off of that and it'll show on the field. Again, I appreciate what you do and keep up the good reporting

  14. Hawks fan since the inception of the franchise . I agree, I like the look of the team and I really like the way they are playing under Mike McDonald . Go Hawks. 💙💚

  15. A lot of strange things happened into those games during that losing streak that had nothing to do with coach Mac so my confidence in him is still a 10.

Hopefully we meet up for RD2 in the playoffs but if not I’ll be rooting for the lions to win the SB. You guys also hate the rams and niners so you’re always good in my book. ✊

  16. I 100% trust Mike, we could end up last in the division and I’d still trust him next year. Gotta give it time, youngest head coach ITL and first time OC, DC, and HC. Gotta give it time no matter what

  17. If you’re a die hard hawk fan, you know that the consistency hasn’t been the greatest the last couple years. I’ve learned to not get bent out of shape and just be patient. It’s a new coach. New program. New step in a different direction. It’s definite to be patchy in the beginning. Look at the lions. They were wrote off. Now look at them. Seattles arguably looking much better than the lions did when they had their big program change. Let’s hope Seattle doesn’t take 3 seasons to lock in. Progression looks inevitable. If Geno has proper protection, he will be a PROBLEM. Just have to continue using his legs. He’s pretty quick. Mike seems solid. You could tell he hates to lose. But he doesn’t get bent out of shape too bad. This team could be VERY special again.. gohawks

  18. I think your perception of geno is a little off, he's actually a super accurate passer and might have the best ball spin in the league… he just has a really bad oline that is improving now that some key changes and players have come back.

  19. Loud and Proud 12, I got love for Detroit and what the Lions are doing, love their new shine and momentum. Y'all are playing unstoppable football. Putting ass whooping is on everyone. Love watching the Lions play and glad they getting acknowledged, they deserve every bit of it. Much success if my Hawks don't make it then I hope the Lions win the Superbowl.
