How good is this LB core? You can count on 5-6 to make solid plays week-week. Three or of four of them are good for big plays regularly enough to affect the outcome of a game. One is so good offenses have to plan just for him which frees up others to make plays, and others capitalize on those opportunities.

  6. Feel like we could use one solid cover guy but other than that they’ve been a pleasant surprise this year, I was a queen skeptic but he’s been great bar one or two games

  8. People tend to forget how good Matakevich was in college at Temple. I loved watching him play and I know he’s more of a special teams guy now, but I am happy to see him back on the Steelers.

    That being said, I love this LB core as a group of dawgs and I hope they keep playing well.

  9. Imagine if the secondary had such talent and depth… I yearn for the days of the 2004-2015. They’ve had a few good years of passing defense recently, but nothing like those glory days when they ranked in the top five passing defenses seven of eight years 2004-2012. They were number one in pass defense 2008 and 2011. Which were also years they were the top overall defense 2008 (#1 pass, #2 run), 2011 (#1 pass, #8 run).

  12. Our depth is the best iv seen it in decades we have so much depth everywhere at every position it’s why we are 8-2 this team is built like a meat grinder
