  1. 6-8 of the next games look very winnable, but at times this team is very concerning with how bad they shoot the ball

  2. NBA is just a who hits more of their 3pt shots league these days and it’s kinda lame ngl

  3. Despite some good contributions off the bench got as close to a donut from the starters as you can. Real poor efforts and TOs compounds and showed up here where we fell short in a 4th Q push. Some real bad live ball TOs meant the Nuggets got easy run outs

Good bounce back from Murray and Porter but my goodness Des has been poor this season even considering he’s missed a chunk of the season. Hope he can turn it around. If you pay someone 200mill you need him to perform better especially with Ja out.

  4. honestly don’t feel like we are getting outplayed in losses except maybe chicago, we just keep beating ourselves

  5. TOs the killer in this game. Jaren with 7 and Vince with 3 in 7 minutes before getting injured.

I liked seeing Konchar return to real minutes. Solid team play happened when he was on the floor.

  6. There’s a ton of copium I wanna huff for this game, no Ja or Edey (Edey really made an impact last game as well) and there’s no way that Bane shoots that poorly ever again.

But man that still leaves a bad taste in my mouth, we can’t be that sloppy or we’ll continue to give up huge leads to easy fast break buckets.

  7. I was at work for the game but I see bane shot like ass. We in for a lot of Ls if bane don’t get it together soon.

  8. I didnt expect the Grizz to do better than 2-2 in the last 4, but then when Gordon and Jokic were out those are two games you have to win.

Effort from the jump was disgusting, fastbreak defense was lackadaisical and dumb, and we went 19-31 from the ft line.

These games are the difference in having to play in the playin and making the top 6. So far this season not so good in these. Also I hate the cup.

  9. I didn’t have 1-9 from 3 pt range by Luke and Des combined on my bingo card. Oh wait, it gets better, they also combined for 1-9 the Warriors cup game too… just what?

    Has to be a curse.

  10. Bane has been objectively trash for 80% of his game played

That contract might be ugly if he doesn’t pick it up

  11. Yea this might be a play in team/6 seed I’m afraid. Favorable schedule? 3 rotation pieces go down. True test of the offense? 30% shooting. Horrible luck

How this team approaches its basketball philosophy might have to change. It felt like Jenkins would put one guy in, wait two possessions and make another sub. How are the guys supposed to gel and get runs going when someone is getting off the court every 1-3 minutes?

  12. The new offensive strategy was disastrous. It seemed like they were more focused on showcasing the new system than actually winning the game. JJJ abandoned his usual post-up game, opting instead to stand outside and shoot threes. There weren’t enough set plays to get Bane involved, and the players seemed hesitant to shoot, prioritizing passing over scoring opportunities.

  13. **POSTGAME RANT**

**• Ja gets taken for granted a lot…**

I won’t name names but people point at this player or that player as being *”the best player on the team”* or *”the best all-around individual player”* or *”the key to everything”* or whatever. No, I’ll never accept any other answer than Ja Morant when it comes to that. Between his scoring, his assists and his rebounding, he is the engine of the offense. No one on the team dictates the pace of the game like he does. No one can take over a game like he can. No one truly enforces his will on other teams and truly demands their attention like him. We lose games like these when we don’t have him because he is That Dude and other very talented players on our team just aren’t that dude.

**• Santi Aldama played like he’s gonna get fucking paid this summer…**

Whether it’ll be us or someone else, he’s going to get his money. Terrific game. Glad to see his shot was (*finally!*) falling. He’d been atrocious from outside before tonight (*he’s only shooting 13.2% from three this month*) and hopefully this won’t be a fluke. He was also killing it on the boards. Good job.

**• SPjr with 16PTS, 6 REBS, 6AST 1 steal, 1 block and only ONE turnover**

That’s some good work. Just… y’know… make your free throws and your wide open threes. Speaking of…

**• When Luke Kennard doesn’t make threes, it makes you question why he’s around.**

He was 1 of 4 on the night. In over just shy of 24 minutes. If your thing is shooting threes, then shoot it like it’s your fucking job. He took one three pointer every 6 minutes on average. What the fuck was he doing for the other 5 minutes and 58 seconds of those time chunks? Not crashing the glass; he only came away with a single rebound. Not really looking for people in scoring position either, as he only had 3 assists.

Is this being fair to Luke? I’d say it is. Compare this to everyone’s favorite SlawDawg: Jake also wasn’t lighting it up from deep tonight but he did have 9 boards and 5 assists, chipping in 8 points. It’s not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison because they play different positions but the offensive/defensive schemes really makes for a lot of interchangeability, so it’s not irrelevant. The other day Luke had double-digit assists showing he actually **can** do that sort of thing. He just kinda doesn’t. I don’t know… seems like he quiet quit last season really and he just hasn’t been let go.

**• Boy, Des really didn’t shoot well tonight.**

It happens. Good shooters have short memories and move on to the next game/shot. It doesn’t matter how many you miss, you have to shoot as if you expect the next one to go in no matter what the previous one/s looked like. I expect that he’ll have a good game tomorrow night.

**• Jaren had a whopping 7 turnover tonight**

And 1 assist. People got their feelings hurt when I said he’s a terrible ball-handler but it’s the truth. He gets his pocket picked, dribbles off his foot, plain loses control… it’s a problem. I will give credit where credit is due, though: he took down 8 boards and I consider myself personally responsible for that because the other day I said he has a lot of room for improvement in his rebounding average and we all know that when you bully a player on Reddit that makes them improve.

    **• VNice can’t catch a break…**

That man *JUST* got back off injury. I hope he’s okay. Goddamn.

  14. It’s about time to have a real conversation about our shooting capabilities and which of those tradeable players we want to keep based on their shooting ability.

We aren’t serious until we have a team that is capable of hitting around league average from 3. Considering we have 2 of the top 10 3pt shooters in the league on this team, Kennard and Bane, we really just need 32-33% consistently from the other guys.

We can’t even get 30% consistently. This offense doesn’t work, not does any offense, if you can’t knock down the open looks that the offense generates.

  15. Tough loss. For a long time it seemed like no one on the team could get ANYTHING to drop. These games happen

Bane had a historically awful shooting night but still manages to contribute

Scotty struggled at first but picked it up and finished well

Santi looked like Jesus Shuttlesworth out there

Slaw. What can you say. The guy is a fucking Swiss Army knife. He plays with all heart

Jaren had a good game but couldn’t buy a 3 it seemed damn

Good to see bc get some rhythm.

Same with Jaylen. Good to see some shots drop for him.

To me though the worst was vince tonight. Literally everything went wrong for him everytime he was around the ball. Hope his ankle isn’t too bad

  16. Let’s calm down guys it’s still November plus 3 of our starters are out. Some nights the shots just aren’t going to fall.

  17. At what point do we go ‘we’re actually shit at shooting threes, so maybe we’ll ease back a little’?

We’re bottom four in the league (rock bottom over the last week or so) yet top 20 for attempts.

  18. Who were the announcers calling the game tonight? They seem like really classy commentators, giving respect to the opposing team. It was refreshing to see
