I don’t think Benching Kirk is the answer however I do agree that using Penix isn’t a bad idea. 1) Defensive coordinators have enough film on Kirk to know exactly what to do to slow him down and it’s starting to show. 2) Playing Penix gives the opposing defenses something extra to deal with 3) It gives our future Qb some live game experience

For falcons fans that want to put in penix now, would you want to sacrifice a playoff appearance to do it? I mean if the playoffs started today, this team looks like it would be one and done but how will everyone look when the playoffs actually start? Once there, the team could be as healthy as they can could be and the other teams may not be. You never know once the playoffs starts. No way way you bench cousins until things are so bad it wouldn’t hurt.
My only problem with Kirk is he don’t move even Brady moved around to avoid sacks from time to time

Cousins should remain the starter for the season no matter what happens. We have zero incentive to rush Penix in his development and we shouldn’t squander that gift.
If the defense cant stop anybody it don't matter if you got Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, or Joe Montana
