"I don't think you can say enough good things about what they've done in terms of that organization, the coaching, the quarterbacking, the defense, the running, the catching, the blocking," Brady said this week on the Let's Go! podcast with Bill Belichick and Jim Gray. "This is how I would envision every team would want to build a unit."
Brady said on FOX during the Lions' rout of the Cowboys that he'd love to quarterback Detroit's offense. He expanded on that thought this week:
"They're really good on the offensive line. They run the ball well. They really challenge the defenses on every down to figure out whether it's gonna be a run or a pass. And they've got home run hitters in the run game, they've got home run hitters in the pass game. So if you're a defender, I don't really know what you set your sights on. They make you so hesitant. Every time the ball is snapped, (the defense is) trying to read run or pass.
"Next thing you know, Jahmyr Gibbs got it and he's tearing through the defense. 'OK, we're gonna play the run.' Nope, it's a play action pass, Amon-Ra St. Brown's open over the middle of the field. 'Oh, we don’t really wanna deal with that.' It’s like, 'Oh god, here comes David Montgomery, boom, they got Penei Sewell and they’re just driving you off the line of scrimmage because you’re playing a little hesitant on the defensive line and now he’s three yards into the defense before he gets touched."
"They do such a good job of creating this uncertainty on defense, and that's where you want to play offensively," said Brady. "Every offense wants to anticipate, wants to play with an attitude, and I think they just do that better than everybody else. Barring any injuries on that team, the way they're playing — and if they can continue with the work ethic and the humility to learn from their mistakes — I mean, they are a tough team to beat.”

I hated Brady for so long and yet… with all his Lions glazing lately… perhaps I treated him too harshly.

Not sure if I’ll ever get used to this kind of praise
I wonder if anyone is waking up from a coma since 2008, a lot of us can still barely believe the positive press we’re getting.
My husband and I still find ourselves hesitating to cheer when the Lions get a TD because we’ve been so burned in the past. It’s been so much fun watching this team and I love the celebrations with every TD:)

Look at how far we’ve grown in just over 3 years. It’s crazy how an ownership change can dramatically adjust a franchises outlook. 2020 I was totally and completely checked out as a fan…….and that’s saying something. I had stuck through all the same BS from the 80s – 2010s. They finally broke me with Patricia.
And here we are with potentially the best Offense in the league in 20 years.
I just figured out that I like Brady better when I can read his words instead of listening to him talk. During games, Fox should have him type out his analysis, and it would just scroll on the bottom of the screen.
Everyone in the Lions organization is there to win. No one is there to try to get their next job, or to pump up their ego, or to prove how smart they are, or to make crazy money, or to be the boss, or win awards or All-Pros, or any of the myriad of other ways an organization will step on its own dick. The paradox is that all of these things will take care of themselves for everyone because they are not the goals. They are merely the residue of attending to the goal, which is to win.
It’s wild. I’m still getting over the trauma from players saying they knew the lions plays before we ran them when Patricia was the coach.
Edit: “We were calling out their plays as he was getting up to the line,” Lee said.
“Film study,” Adams said. “The offense paints a picture. They give us little tips.”
They gave more than little tips. These were huge signs. The Jets stepped in front of routes, blew up screen passes and jammed running lanes.
This was the debut of Matt Patricia in 2018.
Man this team is legit good.
The last sentence is all about grit, they were built for this.
And finally this morning we get a real segment on “get up” it took 12 weeks of dominating for us finally to get our own segment without hearing about pat mahomes or the rest of the nfc north just a real segment for the boys let’s go Detroit it’s our year
This is the sexiest thing I’ve ever read.
barring any *more* injuries

The praise from Tom was nice. But the next thing to do is to get, the #1 seed for the playoffs, and then WIN the Superbowl this year. So, we can say the 1 thing Tom forgot to mention, that was = FTP ! ! !
wonder if offense unpredictability impacts injury probability positively or negatively
