I will admit I was nervous about Cam Jurgens taking over at center, but he’s been lights out and we are lucky to have big man.

Why would you be nervous about a center that was hand-picked by our previous center?
All bow down to Beef Jurgens, the chosen centre from King Kelce himself.
He learned from the best center and OL coach in the game
As long as we have Jeff Stoutland, not worried about 5 ⭐️linemen or turning average players to 5 ⭐️replacements
He feels almost like a Kelce clone. Had a shaky start the first couple games, but he’s been immaculate since. Kelce was right about him being the best heir to center
Yeah he had a few rough moments in the first few games, but since the bye (like the rest of our team) he’s had his shit together
I never understood why people were nervous. Would he be Kelce? Of course not but he was picked by Kelce and Stout so I had confidence. Just growing pons early on but now he’s solid.
Me too. I was super concerned at the start of the season when he had some really bad snaps and was running into open space on pass downs like he did tail end of last year but he’s proven me extremely wrong.
Is he really though? I know it’s not gospel but his PFF numbers have been near the bottom of the pack for centers this year
Given the Stoutland is God mantra on here I am surprised to hear this take. LOL
It’s almost like the organization saw Kelce’s retirement coming and prepared for it by drafting a player with similar physical traits and letting him play a season a guard next to Jason Kelce and be coached by the best position coach in the game.
The national media needs to apologize for Cam for how many times they brought up Kelce not being there anymore.
That is one worry I didn’t have. In Stout We Trust.
There were a few hiccups in the earlier games , but he has mostly been stellar since then . It’s amazing we can go from an All Pro and have very little drop off .
Total unit. He’ll only get better.
On another note, do we have any real weaknesses in our roster other than back-up QB?
Maybe back-up RB? Back-up TE? Edge?
I feel all the Howie pieces have come together but could be wrong.
He struggled with the double A gap blitzes. They have a few plays where the interior line assignments get fucked up resulting in quick pressure.
His real strength is his speed at getting to second level on running plays. By end of game, the holes are huge.
I was at Washington game. On Saquon’s longer touchdown the hole was big enough to drive a Zamboni through. I actually yelled out “Dear God!” At the size of the hole they opened.
Two words: DOUBLE. PANCAKE.
For me, I saw the potential last year. Sometimes he looked a lot like Jason kelce. But there would obviously be a drop off going from Jason kelce to anybody except Jason kelce. That being said, I think Cam has done a pretty damn good job so far in his first year as the eagles center.
I love how the media was like the offensive line will fall apart with Kelce gone. The Stoutland erasure is blasphemous!
Sweet mullet too
That’s a sweet mullet!!
i wasn’t worried at all. dudes attended Stoutland University for the last 2 years with the greatest Center of all time holding his hand the entire way.
asides that first game with the obvious miss communication between him and Jalen. he has been lights out.
You have to remember that Landon Dickerson was a center at Alabama and once was thought of being the heir to Kelce; I think Kelce waiting a few more years to retire helped solidify our O-line even more as Dickerson is an amazing left guard!
Playing at guard last season helped prepare him for this role. He got the closest seat in the house to what Kelce did.
I was never worried I knew it would take some time but once I found out that Kelce took huge part in us drafting him I was all for it 🔥
I’ll admit I was not nervous at all about Jurgens.
As soon as I heard Kelce chose him and mentored him to replace him I felt good about it. Plus having Stoutland. I had.all the faith possible. Perfect situation and result
That beat down he put on the safety during saquon td run was chefs kiss beautiful
I was never nervous about Cam. Never had a reason to be.
Seriously, when it comes to talent and level of play, it’s literally like Kelce never left. It’s insane! Cam deserves a pro-bowl nod this season at a minimum
This was something that really stuck with me when I was listening to an eagles podcast. They mentioned this year was the first in many years that it wasn’t a forgone conclusion that the OL was going to be very good. Glad that they still are.
Replacing one of the few HOF centers in league history is a tough task. It’s incredible that it’s been pretty much a non-story all year
there was a running play that Cam pulled out and turned into a lead blocker for Saquon. My fiancé, who does not watch the Eagles very often said that he even runs and blocks exactly as Kelce. I think we have our center for the next decade y’all
I wonder how he is at making Tanna tea?
Handpicked from kelce and stoutland, never doubted. Figured maybe a year or 2 before playing like this though
