    And Ray Agnew should replace bozo Schoen

  2. Anyone listen to Raanan on Talkin Giants? He was saying how Schoen is not well like in the locker room after the McCloud release. He said not end of world as long as team is still playing hard for Daboll. We will see what the next 7 weeks bring

  3. It was [obvious](https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/puSh6W69ed) to me that benching Jones would cause an uproar in the locker room. It’s a tough situation because no one is really wrong. Our FO is doing the right thing but our players are also in the right for being upset. But our players knowing he’s getting bench for financial reasons is especially bad. It doesn’t send a good message at all.

    Who knows how the season plays out but my gut says I don’t see how Daboll/Schoen aren’t let go at the end of this.

  4. I just wish everything surrounding this team didn’t feel so miserable all the time. People spent so many weeks clamoring to bench Jones, and now that he has other people have crawled out of the woodwork to say what a bad idea it always was. Competently run organizations don’t go through shit like this

  5. Jones is not the guy. Was not remotely good enough and it is clearly time to move on. We as fans deserve so much better and have suffered through more than enough.

    With that being said – holy shit has the reaction to this from the fan base been so cringe. Why are we shoving the whole “being right” thing in each other’s faces? Can you blame some fans for rooting for the underdog and the quarterback of their favorite team? Jones was shit on since the day he was drafted and did nothing but work hard, say the right thing & played with grit (albeit very poorly) but we’re acting like he’s Ja’Marcus Russell and never gave a damn. The vitriol should be put towards Mara, Schoen & Dabes for letting it get to this point.

    And to those who are scapegoating literally everyone but Jones – just fucking stop and take your emotions out of it. Six years is plenty long enough to show whether or not you can elevate your team around you. Sure, he got the absolute shit end of the stick having Dave Gettleman “build” a team around him plus three HC’s/OC’s to stunt his development. But the facts are the facts right now: he is afraid to pull the trigger, his accuracy has fallen off, he’s injury-prone, & worst of all, he can’t process quick enough at the NFL level. When we need a game-winning drive, you just know that he was going to turn it over. He does not have the it-factor that we saw in Eli. We can’t keep holding on deluding ourselves that it will turn around because he’s been an underdog his whole career – sometimes you just don’t have it. Life isn’t fair. It’s over and it needs to be.

    Let’s get through these 7 games & talk about where we’re headed next. The past is the past and we’re obviously about to enter a new chapter as a franchise. Enough with the “I told you so’s” and excuses. We can discuss the Jones era without it turning into a dick-measuring contest or political debate. None of us are GM’s and none of us know shit.

  10. DJ’s contract is the worst in Giants history, eclipsing even Golladay. Daniel Jones got paid 80 million dollars to win 3 games over a 2 year period. It’s up there for worst contracts ever, but its looking like Deshaun Watsons is the worst ever currently… And my dumbass has to go to work later…

  14. Other teams recognized their QB mistakes immediately. Why did Daniel Jones get 6 years? No other franchise would have given him that much of a leash.

  17. Really respect Dexter Lawrence amid all this. Willing to go on record and of course defend Jones as his friend but understand that these things happen. That’s a leader. People bitching off the record about our bad quarterback is the last thing we needed

  20. Draft two QBs this year. Get Ward / Sanders and then maybe someone like Dart or Allar in a later round.

    We need two QBs anyway and this will double our chances of hitting on a draft pick, while also being cheaper than bringing in a veteran.

  21. I’m annoyed about the players going on record to defend Jones. It’s also baffling to me that these players don’t understand that if they attached to this franchise in it’s current pathetic state, it makes their personal value go down.

    This team needs to start winning in order for these guys to get consistently paid. Standing up for Jones in this scenario does nothing to help anyone other than Jones.
