For the “Fire Kyle” crowd. Please…Just….stop.

  1. Kyle just seems burnt out at the moment, maybe hire or promote someone to OC to take some of the pressure off. Forester maybe?

  2. How about instead of fire Kyle we bully him to change his stupid fucking hot routes that’ll eventually get Purdy killed

  3. he won’t get fired, he’ll step down either at the end of this season or next unless we magically win a SB. I’ve been consistent with this opinion since the SB loss and would love to be wrong.

3 blown 4th quarter leads to all 3 division opponents and 2 almost blown 4th quarter leads (Dallas and Tampa). It’s not even about the record, the way they collapse in these 4th quarters is reminiscent of the way they collapsed in the 2 SBs and the 2022 NFCCG except it’s against mediocre competition.

  4. Top tier coaches don’t grow on trees. Half the NFL would snap pick him up if the 9ers got rid of him.

That said…….he clearly needs to get a different scheme going. I feel like as armchair fans, we know what is coming, maybe a good 33% of the time. If we can see it, I’m sure talented NFL organizations can see twice that. Does he still scheme people open? Sure, but those plays take a long time to develop. And again, as much as I love KS, he forgets key players imo. Mason shouldn’t be bench riding. It should be at least a 70/30 split between him and CMC as clearly CMC coming back has not fixed the RZ issues. Why not have Mason take the load getting to the RZ. Guy was at one point the top rushes in the league. Clearly, something was working there.

But yeah getting rid of KS is a dumb take.

  5. I get some of the complaints (especially CMC overuse) but you think it is easier to get a new coach? Are you insane? Personally I do see some kind of idk, lazy/obvious shanny calls but in general, and I mean 95% of the time…I am happy with Kyle

  6. Kyle has had more success than Jim Harbaugh ever had and people here want him gone. Idiots. Don’t you remember what happen last time?

  7. Something’s gotta change though, cant deny that. The only problem is we’ve seen how stubborn KS is, and i get the feeling he’d drag this team into the grave before he changes.

  8. Then let’s keep this same energy for the people who think criticizing Kyle = wanting him fired.

Those people are worse than the “fire Kyle” crowd.

  9. I’m not on the side of firing him, yet that being said, he is absolutely not devoid of criticism this year, and you annoying ass homers gotta understand that.

And for those that say “oh but he took us to a couple championships!” That doesn’t mean coaches can’t fall off. Just look at doug pederson from a Super Bowl winner to an absolute shitter at Jacksonville.

  10. He’s earned the benefit of the doubt during a down year. If they regress next season, it might be a different conversation. The only way I would say otherwise would be if it was obvious he lost the locker room and I don’t think that’s the case at all.

That being said. I do think having a conversation with him behind the scenes about working on his main flaws and potentially hiring an offensive coordinator would be practical. There’s definitely adjustments to be made. It feels like the league has caught up to his offense. It’s on him to adjust. Now if he’s dismissive toward this, then that might be an issue.

  11. Sometimes a change of scenery is necessary. It’s not gonna happen for him here, probably anywhere but he’s blown too many chances to break through here.

  12. I want to be proven wrong, but I think Shanahans time here is done. He’s not getting this team to come together this year, and after another superbowl loss I don’t think the core members of the team are able to get there anymore. Maybe the ship will turn around, but he cannot continue doing things the same way, he has to adapt or go away. Feel free to use all the same platitudes and talking points as you downvote me into oblivion, but sometimes a team, and a coach, need a shake up. Just look at Paul Maurice and the Florida Panthers.
