  4. Baker should at least get a chance! It's not like there's tons of wr talent on the team. Mayo is holding Baker back. Once he's on the field, he'll be the better option.

  5. Y. And the Pats WR coaches should be fired and replace with coaches who have a clue. They have also destroyed Polk, who was great in college. Mahomes would love to have both those guys.

  22. I think his scenario is similar to Kashaun Boutte, just trying to learn the system and getting better everyday. I know Boutte didn’t really play a whole lot his first season, but he’s been coming in clutch this season with certain plays. I think Polk and baker need a season to adjust. They were drafted in the later rounds and everyone develops at a different rate.

  30. Thanks you for covering this. The Boston media is so bent on “the whole roster sucks!” And they are not even asking the question. They just accept Mayo’s answers that Baker isn’t ready. I’m scared that Mayo is incorporating BB’s attitude and destroying the confidence of young players.

  31. It's my understanding that NFL quarterbacks "throw the receivers open," which means that the quarterback has to depend on their routes being predictable and in scheme. Maybe these young guys are going off script in a way that is bad for the scheme during checkdowns but might result in a TD if Maye had more than 2 seconds to throw before he has to scramble.

  37. He is not playing as a disciplined player . This is The NFL & not collage & Not For Long ( NFL ) is where he will be if I doesn’t grow up and earn his play – IMHO 🤷‍♂️
