  1. There’s no way you trade him now. It’s not real estate. You don’t sell high and retire rich. Last year we were trying to trade him to basically land someone that can play the way he’s playing now. He’s the only prolific scorer on the team, so you have to trade him for a better scorer…which there are few of, and even fewer with his clutch gene, are his age, on his contract.

If you’re going young, he’s young, and for the remainder of contract, which he’s outplaying right now, he has room to get even better.

If you’re gonna land Ant Man or something with him, sure, but you’re not, so just be grateful that he’s become the player we all wanted him to become.

  2. i used to want him traded so bad. but finally he changed the way he plays, not trying to force stuff, not holding the ball and dribbling so much. he' quicker, makes quicker decisions and gives up the ball more effectively while breaking down the d. one thing i always liked about him is he is a KILLER. he has always been. he wants that last shot. he's the total opposite of bam. for me trading him right now is no longer a priority. you really gotta move off of jimmy and get what you can for his dwindling value. tyler may not be someone to build around but now the dude is a really dam good 2nd/3rd option which a lot of teams would die to have. as much as i love jimmy, we can see his body breaking down each and every game. those thibs years are catching up. but hey it'll also depend a lot on what anyone offers for tyler. if its a no-brainer gobert deal, then hell yes.

  3. Keep him. The team's true direction is youth, and having him being the lightning rod on offense is giving us many possibilities with who to pair him up on the backcourt. If Miami is smart, pair him with someone who can play defense at the point of attack, playmake and can score at all 3 levels. You can get someone like that either in free agency of the draft, and i think someone like De'Aaron Fox would be perfect for him.

  4. Also the Celtics needed to shoot over 50% from three to beat the Cavs by 3 points. They were outrebounded, had more turnovers, etc. they are not the team from last year, although they are still title contenders.

If we were able to trade Duncan or Terrys contract + young players/picks to land Myles Turner, i think we would be really hard to beat. Turner, Bam, Jimmy, Tyler, Highsmith starting 5…I give them at least a 50/50 chance against anyone in the league. Dunno if he’ll become available, but he’s not been extended so i have hope.

  5. Nope you keep him honestly wish Miami drafted McCain him with herro as backcourt duo would’ve been 🔥🔥🔥 they could’ve just signed a regular center at free agency but nooooooo they didn’t 😒😒😒

  6. I don't think people understand the consequences of missing the playoffs this year. If we did, we'd probably land at the back end of the lottery. Cool, but then OKC has our pick next year unprotected.

Then, the 2027 1st to Charlotte becomes a 2028 unprotected.

Our best path to the best assets is the playoffs this year. Then OKC gets a pick in the 20s, we keep our pick next year and we go into 2027 with a younger team that can make the playoffs so another pick in the 20s goes to Charlotte.

Miss the playoffs this year and you've lost an unprotected pick next year and in 2028. Trade talent like Tyler for picks and we'll certainly miss the playoffs.

  7. I say we stick it out Pat Riley has always been about getting Whales at discounts without compromising the core! They’re gonna have to like some of Miami picks which is long shot! They will not make any trades in my opinion! Unless by the deadline were really bad!

  8. Tyler be winning a championship before Bam or Jimmy does once he gets traded, and then you haters (yes, both of you) would hate even more. You wanted to be right sooo bad because he's proven you wrong season after season! lol
