  1. Please no, Matheson is the guy who can teach Hutson, Barron, Guhle and even Xhekaj how to be more effective offensive defensemen who aren't terrible in their own zone (Matheson has grown better with time when it comes to two-ways). Savard can't help em out with that, I think he's going to be an important piece of our PP for at least this season and the next. Unless they can give us what would automatically be our #1 quarterback during PP like Mike is, I don't wanna hear it. I don't know how good offensively Reinbacher is supposed to become, but I think he's the sparkly kind of marvel in the eyes of others we could trade for immediate reinforcements once his health is returned 100%. I was against trading Kovacevic and consider what we got in return little (I think there's "future considerations" in there too), Kovacevic was gaining in offensive power and although he would make some bad turnovers, I knew he would learn how to correct them, looks like he did just months later in NJ, fine with the Harris trade for what it will potentially bring in soon….very much so and I believe Barron if he starts shooting again can score goals and from what I've seen, which isn't much, even when he's in the lineup he's on the third pair, he should be on PP2 at least, I believe he can improve defensively, I think he did compared to last year but again, hasn't had enough ice time to prove it.

So that leaves Reinbacher which I think was a ploy by Hughes, to overload our dman roster with quality ones so that when our core 6 defs was established and that it would be unwarranted to pull anyone out, Reinbacher (or someone else had things turned out different) would be the shiny thing GM's who want big talent immediately in the summer or early next season to have him for trade, I'm sorry for David but once Savard is gone, Barron takes his place permanently, just as huge as Savard but with the offensive advantage, I think he will be good to attract what we want, not what the other GMs want. I agree that includes the part that he does real well with Laval when he comes back, but looking at Laval rn and they are at the top of the AHL, adding Reinbacher should be seemless. Anyways, that's how I hope it goes.

  2. Lol I love how every trade rumor serves you Hoglander to go the other way.

FYI this move will never happen. This is absolutely nothing more than click bait, as well as just how out of touch Seravelli is with this market.

  3. Depends how Petterson feels about it if he says its okay adding Matheson then you do it if he says no you dont. Thats my take if he is comfortable with Matheson in the locker room then we fans should be comfortable as well especially if that move makes our team better.

  4. Pretty sure if you ask Peterson he will say he doesn’t care he wants him playing on his team. That said Matheson is a good fit in Montreal and he’s still young. There’s no reason to trade him.
