  2. Dumb rumor as he’s staying at head coach and no way MSL is let go now. My bet is Nashville or Detroit as they’re both underperforming. Next might be Pittsburgh if Montgomery is desperate to be had coach as they’re heading in same direction as Boston

  6. What about Jim Montgomery as the head coach, Martin St-Louis as his assistant ?
    St-Louis did a great job with young guys, still do, but as a whole, Ias a head coach, not sure. Having a head coach like Jim, he could learn from him and, eventually, take back a job of head coach, in Montreal or somewhere else when he feels ready.
    That's my 2 cent. I like what MSL has done so far, I hope he'll stay in the organization for a while, but I don't think he is or was ready for a head coach role.

  12. I don't think there's much of a change that Jim Montgomery becomes a member of the Montreal coaching staff this season, unless the team does on Dominique Ducharme like losing streak and Marty is outright fired. Kent Hughes isn't really trying to compete yet, so I'm pretty sure he'll keep the status quo, short of any catastrophes.
