8:17 you forgot to talk about dropping Forbort! He was the king of PKs… Didn't resign him! Or even trade him last season for at least some picks
Don't forget about how we had to sign a couple of goalies just to drop them when Swayman finally signed. Waste of time, and trades.
Also. A huge thing that made the Bruins great the last 10years is players getting team friendly deals. I bet players aren't happy with Swayman almost getting a 3x salary raise, not take a friendly deal so you can actually get some defenseman
Bruins have been stingy in their contracts and notable players have taken home team discounts. Swayman’s contract creates a ripple effect on the locker room and maybe some bad feelings. If someone new comes into my workspace and gets a salary near equivalent to what I make, I generally take it as a sign to move and increase my salary to the going rate.
The Bruins needs a proper retool. They essentially have no prospects and the team isn't getting younger. Getting a top 10 pick of two would not hurt them in the long run, and they still have plenty of excellent depth players

Huge Bruins Fan
I didn’t agree with the decision, but as you said something had to be done .
E Lindholm has been a huge disappointment only two goals on pace for eight for the entire season. Hopefully they can turn things around similar to Edmonton in last year after they made a coaching change
Sweeny and Neely are learning from Shanahan
Coaches are usually the scapegoat, unless their name is "Mike Sullivan".
Do one about the Vancouver Canucks.
The Bruins are going down the exact same road as the Penguins have.

braindead blogger. there isn't a lot of talent or potential there. typical fanboy blowhard
The biggest change is goaltending isn't bailing them out anymore and they have poor centers.
If ur a true bruins fan, we have seen this team play exactly like this every season, just not this long of a span, but we have had multiple road trips, 2-3 week spans where were this bad. Only difference was that our goaltending was always there to bail us out, that isn’t the case right now, they are both playing like normal goaltenders, we have just been spoiled with overachieving in the net for years, but this is what it looks like when u got two goalies doing there job, but not making those extra saves. I think this team will be fine, they will find theee rhythm like they always do, they just need time to adjust and find there new identity as a team. A bit of overreacting going on.
Sweeney has mortgaged this team to the hilt. It won’t be until long after sweeney is fired and all the over paid guys with long contracts and no trade clauses are gone that things be able to be fixed. He just wasted 12.5 million on Lindholm & Zadorov. Lindholm has 2 goals on track for a season total of about 8 goals and has a 7 year contract. Zadorov 5. million, 5 years and is a human pylon when he’s not in penalty box.
They have so much big talent on the team and superstars. Something is wrong 😮 in the locker room.
It begins and ends with Sweeney and Cam. They handed Monty this insanely mediocre team.
Glad you didn't let Don Sweeney off the hook. Don't forget about his Mitchell Miller debacle too. And Cam Neely is knucklehead who needs to go as well.
a lot of talent🤣
Third consecutive Jack Adams award winner to get fired. Maybe the problem lies elsewhere?
In the 2010s, the culture of the team ran through Chara and Bergeron. All the positives that were spoken on the winning attitude in the locker room were largely upheld by those two, and making sure everyone else bought in. Now that they’re both gone, it’s up to the new leaders in McAvoy, Pasta and Marchy to uphold it.
I don’t agree with everything you said, but this is a very thoughtful analysis that proves a great summary of the situation. The 2015 draft debacle was especially bad. I think Neely has taken accountability for that, but it still indicates a poor organizational ability to appraise talent. There isn’t much has happened since to make up for it.
this what they should have been but jim had them playing way above there expectations
What's up with the camera zooms changing all the time lol
Plot summary
The thumbnail makes Pasta look like Harry DuBois 😂
@jimmy 2015 draft was the deepest in years and Sweeney fucked it up. Conner and barzal were top 10 consensus picks in numerous scouting reports I remember that that well and I even watched it personally. Sweeney saw them dropping when other teams passed on them because of their size. Instead of drafting the best available player he went for reaches hes a fucking idiot. Again last draft he went for size instead of skill and talent he’s a fucking idiot.
