I feel like this deserves its own post. Wiz looked like MVP KB during his hot stretches, and he represented the Cubs so well. Hope he figures it out on another team

  1. Figures it out on another team? He’s no kid and he’s about done as an mlb level player, IMO. Sure he can run into a down the middle FB but I really hated when he got as much PT as he did.

  3. He can legit hit bombs. And during his hot streaks could carry the whole team.

No Cub has ever hit more HR as a rookie.

Hope he catches on somewhere else and hits 40.

Pulling down my collar rounding 3rd in memory of P Wizzy.

  4. Sayonara! I think he was related to someone in the organization to have stayed this long

  5. He’s gonna sign on another team for peanuts and hit 30-35 hr’s on .195 batting average. And everyone gonna be like that’s the type of hitter we need on this team!

  6. Patty Wise!! Thank you for being such a great Cubbie!! Maybe you can join Kyle in Anaheim, I live nearby. You were awesome & much appreciated!! 🤗🏄‍♀️🌊🌴

  7. Goodbye, you beautiful, beautiful man. Thanks for the times you were playing hot, for you were always looking hot

  8. Folks, he’s 33 and hi .174 last year with below average defense at 3B. They were only playing him in situations where he was in a good position to get a hit or home run and he still only hit .174. He stuck out in over a third of his plate appearances. This is not someone who deserves a major league roster spot.

I love the P Wizzy vibes and I’ll remember them fondly, but it was long overdue. They were forced to use Madrigal or Morel at 3B because Wisdom was more of a liability. What does that tell you?
