11. Sharks fan here, let me tell you that I thought it would be impossible to move out of contracts such as burns, Karlsson, and Hertl. We still have Vlasic and Couture but it’s worked out well for the sharks. I will say Grier has done an outstanding job with those bad contracts. Dubas will determine the future of Pittsburgh

13. Why Grav SUCKS: Drew O'Connor is -14, Grav gave DOC "solid" props. Rackell is a "bust". No he isn't Grav. Rackell had 28 goals on the Pens. His 3rd highest total of his career after 34 and 33 goals. Rakell had 60 points on the Pens. His 2nd highest total after 69 points. Rakell had 32 assists on the Pens his 2nd highest total after 35 assists. Rakell currently leads the Pens with 6 goals. Seems good to me Grav. Grav disses EK65 while never even mentioning Pierre Luc Dubois on the Caps. Next, he acts like the Caps got Strome because they "knew" "who to go after". They actually signed him to a 1 year deal because that was what he was evaluated at even by the Caps. No other teams were interested. After he fit the team Strome got the bigger deal not before Grav. Strome would be good on the Blackhawks now. Skips Backstrom's forced retirement and Kuzy being gone. Nice try Grav. I love you Grav but STEP UP YOUR GAME!

14. Beauviller, O'Connor, and Puljujarvi will be dealt at the deadline or be dealt in response to another teams needs based on injuries. Marcus Pettersson (50% retained) will be traded for an actual asset. Pens will need to replace Pettersson on the left side. Grzylek SUCKS and is worthless. Jarry led the league in shutouts last year playing for a bum club. He actually has value if someone sees it. Moving onto CORE fantasy trades: Crosby to Vancouver for Elias Pettersson. Pens get younger and skilled. JT Miller 87, and Tocchet go for the Cup. Malkin to the Caps for McMichael and Ryan Leonard and a contract, Pens get younger. Geno assists Ovechkin. Letang to Montreal for Logan Mailloux or Arber Xhekaj. Keep EK65 until someone trade for him at a trade deadline 50% retained at the end of his contract. Why? He thrives on crap teams with 1 good offensive defenseman. Trade Rutger McGroarty to the Ducks for Trevor Zegras. Rutger plays with his buddy Cutter on the Ducks. Zegras is the Pens 2nd center. Or Crosby to the Habs for Demidov. ANYWAYS GAVIN MCKENNA HERE WE COME BABY!!!

15. With Rakell on a better pace than last year, trade and retain half. Sell high to a team like Buffalo.

19. The idea you can get quality back for even a 38yr old like Malkin is dreaming.
    You should focus on getting guys U25 and prospects 20-22 not a 18/19 or picks. So you have something look forward to after Crosbys gone.
    You should be able get
    -Letang for a 1st/2nd and good prospect
    -Karlsson for pick+ player
    – rakell,Pettersson,beauvillier,Grzelcyk,Graves,Rust,Hayes get what you can.
    Bunting isnt going anywhere hes a Dubas guy. Lol get cap space sign Marner off season.

    Maybe prospects needing new start Robertson,Kemell,Lysell,AdamSykora,Svozil,Lucius,Kasper,Berggren,Mesar,
    Or
    Capobianco/AHL guys who might be NHL ready if given chance.

25. At least GM Dubas has admitted that this Pens’ team is bad enough that pretty much every non-Sid Crosby player is available for trade. This teardown may very well be underway.

32. For a win now organization last season did you witness the players dufas brought in? I thought he would bring in any kind of toughness or physical players? Nope he got EK..He was the longshot that failed..He was suppose to help the PP..HA HA..Dead last and even worse with EK in the lineup and his 11 mil..I believe also dufas only brought EK in to prove he's a legit GM, That's all it was..ego. Did he get of contracts? Sure but he took on 11 mil for a dmen who doesn't even play defense. Softest team in the NHL…For Years.
    I'm not even going to mention teflon mike sullivan? It looks like he'll be here for life.

    Soon as I heard about this hiring I was sure the pens would slowly go down the toilet. I just didn't think it would be this quick.
