Brad Marchand Takes ACCOUNTABILITY After Bruins Fire Jim Montgomery | Press Conference
BOSTON — Brad Marchand spoke to reporters following the firing of Jim Montgomery as head coach. Marchand took accountability as a player saying: “If we had done our job in here, [Jim Montgomery] would still be here. We feel terrible, both as a group and individually, that we let down a really good coach and an even better person… it’s a crappy day,”

Now we'll find out what a real captain can do.
Losing a lot of respect for this coach killer.
Hey, Brad! Nice words, but that won't be enough. A great team is also and sometimes above all, a great captain. This great captain, we haven't seen him yet and, clearly, he hasn't made himself heard in the team room. The temperamental, intimidating and motivating pitbull that you were, we haven't seen him since the beginning of this season. If you consider the "C" on the jersey too heavy to wear, admit it; there is a McAvoy on whom it wouldn't look out of place.
Hey, Brad! Remind Pasta that he is the team's big star and that as such, his responsibility is very heavy in the events that are shaking the team today. In case he thinks that the fans are ready to forgive him everything, remind him that he has been invisible since the beginning of the season, that it is totally unacceptable… bordering on professional dishonesty.
Between you two, you are captain and assistant captain, so wake up the team… if you are still convinced that you are one.
That is true, you haven’t done your jobs and now a head coach lost his job. Does that mean you and your teammates will suddenly start playing now? You will suddenly stop taking stupid penalties in the offensive zone or start penalty killing or actually score more than 2 goals a game or , or, or, you had better not lose tomorrow night and lose a 3 game home stand. The fans that pay your salaries deserve better
