Jeremy Fowler: ” Fowler: Well, an intriguing candidate has to actually want this Jets general manager job. This will not be the most desirable opening. But since general managers enjoy longer tenures than head coaches, and only 32 of these jobs exist, the candidate pool will be fairly strong.
Winners are an easy place to start. Several executives play a pivotal role in the roster building and culture of contenders, including Eagles assistant general manager Alec Halaby, Bills director of player personnel Terrance Gray, Vikings senior vice president of player personnel Ryan Grigson, Texans executive vice president of player personnel James Liipfert, Lions assistant general manager Ray Agnew, Steelers assistant general manager Andy Weidl and Chargers assistant general manager Chad Alexander — a former lieutenant of Douglas’ in New York.”

The JOKE Douglas ERROR is over! πΎ
JOKE Douglas is better at manipulating the "media" than he js at managing a football team.
First, there was the "leaked" FAKE "Reddick LIED" story Joke floated in an attempt to spin public opinion against the player…as opposed to the fat dope who traded fot a holdout who already rejected his offer. π€£
I knew that 'leaked story' was fishy at the time. Turns out , it was π―% fugazi.
SO now, we are all supposed to believe that The Athletic had bombshell multi-sourced article about how secretly JOKE Douglas is just an awesome GM & that all the team's ineptitude is all Woodys fault.
So The Athletic had this fact-filled story but saved it for the very day Joke Douglas gets kicked to the curb where belongs.
Riiiiiiiight. Nothing STINKs about that report at all π©
Talking heads have to talk so I get how this nonsense is a nation wide story, even as ridiculously fugazi as it was.
Grigson sucks.
Also, everyone I know in Miami HATES Flores. Apparently he is a stinker as a human.
Plus, he had 4 ocs in 3 years which screams of a serious Flores you-problem.
The JETS GM position is the premier position for an executive in this league.
Dont buy into the "nobody good will want to come here" nonsense.
The open jobs are very desirable despite the The Athletic's nonsense
Belichick, COACH & GM! GO GET 'EM!!! FINALLY, A WINNING COMBO.
Dorsey or Arians for GM
This would be typical jets
Louis Riddick should be GM. And I'll take Flores as HC. I think Florse would have a chip on his shoulder with NE not giving him a chance and Miami because they did him dirty
Another terrible pick, maybe Woody should keep to selling shampoo?
We might as well go for Deion and Shedeur at this point π€¦πΎββοΈππ₯
Nah man we need someone better
While the man didn't protect Andrew Luck, you can make an argument he learned from that mistake. I think the Vikings has drafted pretty well the past few years. I would hope Flores also learned his lesson, we don't need to draft a QB – we need to bring in a coach who can develop Jordan Travis.
Colts fan. Grigson sucked ass and was a horrible GM. He signed old and injured oline men thay were bad. He's also made horrible trades.
Sounds like a Looser π’
No self-respecting person will become Jets GM unless he gets paid the most money in NFL
Woody Johnson is a poison, a poison rooted so deep within this organisation that it would take special power to remedying his effect. Itβs reminiscent of Theoden being poisoned by Grima and Saruman and needing the mighty power of Gandalf the white to rid Rohan of that curse.
Is Gary Vee our Gandalf?
President of Football Operations
Curtis Martin
General Manager Louis Reddick or
Ray Agnew
Head Coach Aaron Glenn
Letβs bring in Testaverde to be our GM. Good luck selling me off the idea.
I do NOT want Flores or Grigson. The guy never built an offensive line, and almost got Luck murdered! And Flores? He didnβt even want Tua, and look how the Dolphins suck without Tua. Hard pass on both.
bro, hes probably literally watching this to decide, the fate of the jets lay in your hands.
Ray Agnew or bust!
My cousin has a seasom ticket for the Colts and told me this is one guy you don't wanna hire……saying that,I expect Johnson will open his arms to him.
Lol Ian no disrespect but Iβm good πππ. Gotta get a good OC-QB combo. Seems like the winning formula. Flores w a young qb after hearing Tua talk about him nah donβt think we need it
Very solid points, well done
What about former Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff. He built Atlanta's Super Bowl roster, made some good trades/draft picks (Julio Jones) and is part of an analytics company, so the game hasn't passed him by.
Would I take the NY job? Why not, this area has no less than 5 championship potential teams and is unparallelled with positive information on how to build and run a successful franchise. The problem is the distractions, including the owners getting too close to competing for control with the administration hirees. Without the pressure of social media, pleasing fans, etc. the NYJ and others would have a much clearer focus and not the confusion that exists today. The first thing any new coach or administrator must demand is , " NO SOCIAL MEDIA " contact during the regular season for players or management. I would be willing to bet most players don't pay it any much attention and the owners can bs all they please, but, the team must stay focused on themselves and depend on each other(coaches and players) for criticisms and information relevant to team progress.
I just want a hard ass GM bro
For me it is a hard pass on Grigson. He took years of football from Andrew Luck
We need Flores. Mediocrity is perfect for this team. 24-25 at Miami then fired. We tried Gase after Miami fired him so why not Flores.
And this is what I warned β οΈ most of you wanted JD gone… now here comes the π©
Just another shitbag hire by a moron owner.
Nah bro. Iβm good.
I would love Brian Flores I think he's going to bring aggressiveness specially on the defensive end
SN650, a hockey station in Vancouver had NFL guests discussing the Jets and Giants this morning. Quite a black eye for NY-NJ football.
The Jets have put themselves as an organization, in a position where no one of substance, is going to want to come to this organization and be undermined by Woody Johnson. If the stories are true. Woody Johnson is worse than Jerry Jones , Jim Dolan, and George Steinbrenner (RIP). You'd have to be a fool to come here and have EVERY move you make from a GM and HC standpoint undermined, second guessed, overly scrutinized, and strong armed by an incompetent boob like Woody Johnson. Players are also not going to want to come here. No wonder he is one of DJT stooges. He's a fukin shi* of an owner and the Jets are a shitshow organization. A joke and it reeks from the TOP. This team will do abso-fuckin-lutely NOTHING as long as Woody and Chris Johnson are the owners. But alas, like a person in an abusive relationship. I still love my Jets. π’π’π’π’π’
Bring back Mike Tannenbaum And Rex Ryan this guys work good together and they want to be here. This makes the most sense and both of them are winners ,let them finish what they couldn't finish.
Everything seems to be so incestuous. Why not look to some up and coming talent in the college ranks as a coach and GM?
