Wyc Grousbeck: “I don’t have any comments on the sale process that’s underway. There’s a lot of interest. That’s one comment, I guess. The plan is that I will stay for three more years. That’s what’s made out and then we’ll go from there.”

  1. The Timberwolves have taught us a phased transition is not smart. Just sell the team and move on. I get it, he doesn’t even want to sell and is only doing so because his dad is forcing him to. You had a great run, Wyc

  2. when you max out dad’s amex black card and have a bit of time to find the money to pay it off but you’re still grounded

  3. I would say a phased transition is bad when you have a bad owner. But Wyc has been great, glad he’s sticking around, hopefully this means whoever comes in permanently is aligned/shares the same vision as the current group.

  4. That’s the plan on their behalf, who knows what the new owner will want once all that “interest” pans out into a buyer. Too early to speculate.

  5. I’m completely happy with this. 3 years means Wyc stays to see this window through and bring home 2 more ships, before the sale is made and the roster is reset.

  6. I mean, what’s he supposed to say? He’s gotta move the product.

“Idk why there’s no interest in this team but there aren’t any bites.”

  7. Thousand bucks each and we could make a pretty hefty bid.

Plus we’d all be owners and we could use our platform to pick a representative to scream obscenities at Henry/kraft during an owners dinner at some point.

  8. So he gets to enjoy the peak of this team and sail off into the sunset with his pockets full of $.

  9. As I’ve grown as a Celtics fan, I understand more and more how much Wyc played a big role in me following the team.

  10. People clown the Celtics for the payroll but we’re not the highest in the league this year or projected to be the highest in the future either. That honor goes to the Phoenix Suns lol
