  1. Montreal probably asked SKA to keep benching him.
Create the spark to take him to the next level. Raise compete level in all areas. "Not good enough" "I'll show them"

  2. Hey Josh. Jesse and people of Habs Digest. I like the idea of Slav at center. But I do believe this is just so he can be an option if the center is taken out the faceoff. But maybe they wanna try Slav Caufield and Dach? It's interesting to see there. And it definitely creates more options in a case where someone like Suzuki gets hurt.

  3. I'm praying almost everyday to protect Habs players and keep them healthy *fingers crossed
I don't think Slaf is going to play as a C, it's just that simetimes wingmen need to take a faceoff so better off learning about it

  4. Standard to have 2 guys on each line able to take face offs. I think this is utilizing the consultant while they’re here and it’s prep for Caufield moving back to first when Laine returns

  5. Slaf is to slow for a winger, being a center with his size is a good idea, but that will hinder his production and delay it because he has to learn completely from scratch. Honestly it pains me say this but Slaf is plain and has nothing special going on for him. Il keep cheering for him. But he is not worth 7.6m🫤.

  6. Is it just me or does Josh Anderson seem to win every face off he takes ? Small sample size but I've noticed it for 3 years. And Dvorak gets waived out half the time. Don't tell me owen Beck isn't an upgrade right now.

  7. I think Slaf as the possible 2C would be fantastic. He is responsible in his own zone and is good at reading plays, he supports the puck well and doesn't turn it over in the defensive zone very often. Dach and Newhook as much as I love them have not filled that spot well enough and I think trying slaf in that role is a no-brainer.
