Is what it is sometimes. Can’t win em all
Very disappointing night for the Caps.
Can’t win em all but with the news with Ovi, the road trip success, and back at home in front of your fans, this is one you really want to win.
Weak.
Wilson needs to start producing.
Stop having Carlson play ovies spot.
Mcilrath in for Roy.
Can’t even be mad at everything to be honest. Colorado is a great team and we got goalied. Still knocking some dust off after trying to get up without OVI but I’m not mad at this game.
We had no puck luck. Couldn’t hit water falling out of a boat in the middle of the ocean tonight
Bad effort from everyone except LT. Lappy belongs in Hershey.
Ovi or no Ovi, this was going to be a tough game.
Without Ovi though, hopefully everyone’s settled into whatever role they’re taking on in his absence. We gotta show up in a big way Saturday night and prove there’s more to this team’s identity than the Goal Chase.
Shake this one off and come back ready to play next time.
Hopefully this isn’t how we’re going to play until Ovi is back. Straight up not fun
Wasn’t a bad game at all. They got a lucky one and we didn’t get any luck tonight. Gonna lose these types of games over the course of 82 games
Avs defense held on tight. Didn’t give up too many odd man rushes and the caps didn’t have too many opportunities.
What a wet fart of a game. Really discombobulated playing for a lot of the game from Washington. Everyone was invisible… Hopefully they will bounce back from this and find a way through on Saturday. I have faith.
we made georgiev look good. 1st period looked decent then it just felt like there was no hunger for goals into the 2nd. on to the next one.
Hopefully just some growing pains as they figure out things without Ovi.
I was generally happy with the effort out of Lapierre. He looked okay tonight.
Thompson is a Vezina caliber goalie right now. He’s been on fire. Team needed to play a bit harder for him.
McMichael and Dubois looked very good tonight. Felt like Wilson could’ve given something more. He didn’t look super dialed in despite having a couple of chances. *Edit: forgot about the breakaways McMichael had. Need to convert on one of those.*
The offense is going to have to adjust with Ovi out. Gonna need to tinker those first and third lines to figure something out.
Between the posts, Georgiev turning into prime Dominik Hasek, and a couple of questionable calls from the linesmen in particular, it wasn’t our night. Also, I need to stop going to caps games. They keep losing when I go.
Bleh. Not too surprised… everyone’s gonna readjust to the line shakeups and some weird bounces / bad calls got to them. On to the next.
I really think we needed Lindgren in the goal last night. Thompson looked a bit distracted. Everyone seemed like they weren’t really “there.” And there were at least 2 times when Mangiapane could’ve taken a shot on goal unintercepted by anyone but the goalie but didn’t. It just felt really weird watching them play last night. As if they aren’t aware they are/were number 2 in the league.
The Avalanche was really good w/ their no-look passes last night. Kept tripping up the Caps for sure.
