  1. Fuck, that sucks. Hope he’s ok and can recover no problem. He was having a great start of the season. Is it too early to start saying the “C” is cursed?

  2. Three months still puts him back on the roster for the last quarter of the season, suppose that is good news. Plus he should be rested and ready to help the guys out. Also, maybe they can make another move if needed since they have some extra cap space to plan with for a bit.

  3. Does “recovery” mean “back in the lineup” in hockey terms? With baseball, it would mean he’s getting cleared to resume baseball activities and it might still be weeks until he’s back on the field.

  4. fuckkkkkk poor ebs. i’m glad he’s recovering and the surgery went well, but i was really hoping he’d be back sooner — i wasn’t expecting this injury to be so bad. glad vince was out of the red jersey at practice at least! we need him back now more than ever

  5. Poor guy. Man better not get on the ice until he is good and healed up, health matters more than hockey.

  6. Oof. We are gonna miss his points and his leadership. Hopefully his recovery goes smoothly and he’s able to contribute in the back end of the season and hopefully playoffs also. Get well soon Ebs

  7. Poor Ebs, he was playing so well. I hope his recovery goes smoothly and we see him back in Feb/March. At least it solves the cap problem.

  8. That sucks so bad, but thinking on the positive side it sounds like he’ll be able to enjoy the holidays with family and his wife is due sometime soon I think? 🥲

  9. So back when I played drop in hockey we had guys of all age. An older gentleman (probably 60’s) we would play with once ran awkwardly into the boards no-contact, went down in what looked like the splits, and when he got up was in extreme pain and could barely get off the ice.

His son would come too, and helped him off and they left immediately.

A couple weeks later his son was back and said that when his dad fell he broke his pelvic right in the center front (like near the pubic arch) and it essentially unfolded allowing his hips to widen and legs to splay apart in awkward and painful fashion (hence the splits).

    …..

Anyway…it is still an injury I think about over a decade later. I never saw their dad again in the handful of years I continued to play.

I hope it’s nothing that bad.

  10. 3 months is brutal. I hope it’s a smooth recovery.

It’s also frustrating because we lose him, but not for long enough that we can trade for someone to use the cap space. It’s a loss any way you look at it.

  11. Fucking hell. My first home game and he went down right in front of us. Shit sucked to see while wearing my Ebs jersey. Get well soon Cap 🥲🫡

  12. As someone who had a serious pelvic injury before…

    Fucking OUCH.

Hopefully his recovery goes swiftly, with as minimal pain as one can have in this case.
