  2. Solidly has been a 2.5 WAR player every season, easily worth this salary.

    It’s not like we have a left handed outfielder knocking the door down behind him and we were never going to sign Soto.

  3. Surprised they brought him back, especially at that figure, but one could easily do worse. He’s a gold glove quality right fielder that’s had an OPS+ of 110 or above the past two seasons.

  4. I like Yaz also. He can be a Forever Giant and obviously wants to retire as such. Yet, he is pretty inconsistent offensively and probably be more of a mentor/part time player to a Matos type or other farm hand.

  5. The guy is solid and plays right field well. Finding a good bat who also plays right field well would be quite difficult.
