The Brewers have non-tendered LHP Hoby Milner… The Brewers’ other arbitration-eligibles were all tendered contracts

  1. Civale getting tendered surprises me the most. Looks like he’ll be in the Brewers’ rotation plans in 2025.

  2. Can’t say I’m surprised that they let Hoby go. He was the epitome of clutch in 2023 but turned into a liability in 2024. It’s a shame but that’s life for relievers. Gotta let them go before they suck and ruin every good memory you have of them. I wish him nothing but the best wherever he goes next.

Wasn’t super impressed by Civale post-trade but I think this season taught us that you can never have too much starting pitching. If keeping him around prevents the team from starting guys as washed as Dallas Keuchel due to injury, I’m fine with it.

  3. If we have “too many” starters again because of Civale I’ll be fine with that.

Woo, Freddy, Myers, Civale, (pick one of 4). Someone poops the bed we have back ups.

And that doesn’t mean we don’t trade Ashby for a 3b

  4. I was die hard Milner Time from the get go. Used to be, Milner Time meant you were either winning or losing real bad. Then he turned in a good solid stretch of serious clutch pitching. Then he turned into “4 softly hit singles in a row” guy. Godspeed, sweet prince!

  5. What is our LHP depth in relief if somehow Ashby and Hall both start as they would earn in an ideal scenario? Hudson, Koenig, drawing a blank after them …
