To put Alexander Ovechkin’s injury into a proper perspective and to calm down the worriers, I want to introduce you guys to NFL HoF DE Jack Youngblood. He played the *entire* 1979 NFL Postseason AFTER breaking the same bone in his leg.

Okay – after watching this…
*Ovi – take your time. Don’t be a hero. Come back when the Machine is fully reset – not before!!!*
Yeah. But that’s the NFL. Where you get about 11 minutes of actual playing time versus huddles and TV. A DE might then play half that? So 5.5 minutes of playing time. Ovi racks up 25 minutes or so per game.
WE’RE NOT COOKED YET BOYS
There are a 1000 ways you can fracture a bone. Leave it to the doctors.
