[Grant Afseth] Dallas Mavericks center Daniel Gafford (left shoulder soreness) is questionable to play against the Miami Heat on Sunday.

Somewhere I saw Anthony Edwards say he doesn’t really like to dunk because it hurts, and I’d never really thought about it, but just the act of ramming your fingers into the rim and often hanging at weird angles, then maybe catching a finger in the net… I’m surprised there aren’t more injuries on dunks. (I have no idea if that’s how Gafford hurt his shoulder.)

6. Load management. They have to have a semi valid injury related reason to sit a player.

7. This is a Gafford night off. We should be able to manage a win against Miami without him.
