There is hope. Lightning in a bottle like 2005. Or the Org seemingly bringing in people who are well regarded in the league. There has been some foundational changes in the org. They won’t all be the right move/people. But things are trending the right way for long term.

I hope they don’t lose 121 again, and that they lose fewer games. I turn 78 in about three weeks. I think Reinsdorf won’t outlast me. But then again, I could croak today and he could live to be 100.
Sure would like to see a few bats in the lineup, though. Even if we lose just as many, it would be more exciting to lose 12 – 10 than 12 – 0.

The hope is that they can win 60 games. This team is so far from contender, there’s no reason to get your hopes up. They have no position players on the roster that are worth building around.
