  1. All of these moves shows the Giants arent ready to move forward and arent ready to change the identity. They never shouldve signed any of those players. None of them bring anything to the table and have zero trade value. It's tough being a Giants fan. I couldn't agree more with the Logan Webb idea. He is the next Matt Cain and Timmy I would hate to see his career go down because he was stuck with a terrible organization that couldn't help him with players around him or to another organization. I like the Marcelo Mayer trade idea Logan Webb Yaz and Doval get Mayer future short stop who also played with Casey Schmitt at Adrian Gonzalez high school in Chula Vista

  2. Agree with you re Yaz. Doesn't make sense UNLESS ownership has told Posey they won't spend more on another corner outfielder than what they gave Yaz and Posey figured he wanted the known commodity, even though that known commodity is only average.

  3. I wouldn't give up Webb for a prospect. It would have to be an impact MLB player. But great job with this and other podcasts you've been doing. You're a realist who understands the game unlike that dope on Locked On.

  4. This worries me a little bit. The Giants have already said they are going to lower payroll next season. That wasn't considered such a huge deal at the time because they had a lot of money that could be coming off the books. Instead they decided to keep Yaz and Chapman at more expensive salaries. I like Chapman as a player but now he's more expensive. This $9.25M they just spent on Yaz is $9.25M they now can't spend on other players. Yaz isn't worth that IMO. That kind of salary could be used to sign someone much more valuable than Yaz. A $9.25M salary can easily buy a very good relief pitcher. At the very least the team could add a very dominant 8th inning setup man for that kind of $. Someone who could even take over as the closer. Very good relief pitchers go for much lower salaries than that. This $ they spent on Yaz is going to prevent them from signing a much more valuable player for an equal amount of $.

  5. I think he would fit well in a place like Cincinnati, Pittsburg or KC. KC needs a bit of pop and has a big outfield. Pittsburg is kind of the same. In Cinci he would pop a few more homers and help a young developing team. I agree that if they don't upgrade the outfield that you gotta go with Matos.

  6. Hmm I wonder if you send Yaz and Doval to the Cubs for bellinger. Same defender with more versatility at 1B. Get him in the division he is comfortable with and it could be lightning in a bottle.
